Fab Freebie: Moore Candice To Love

*** This contest is now closed – see who won below!***

And this week’s random winner is… Stacy (who says “when I was little, I got the local radio dj’s autograph and thought I was so cool! Looking back, it is just funny how silly it was!”). Congrats Stacy!

We love us some Candice Olson (and still pinch ourselves that our faces share a webpage with her over on BenjaminMoore.com). So we sweet talked our way into a little Benjamin Moore / Candice Olson prize for you guys – including a signed copy of her latest book, Candice Olson Bedrooms. So once you’ve torn yourself away from petting her signature (not that we’d do that, ok we totally would) and are ready to put that Olson-spiration to use, Benjamin Moore’s gonna lend a hand with two gallons of their Aura paint, a 7-piece applicator kit, a $50 gift card, and your very own Candice Olson Design Picks fan deck. And if that’s not enough of a Candice fix for ya, you can enter to win a personal design consultation from her over on Benjamin Moore’s site.

Benjamin Moore Giveaway2

  • PRIZE: Two gallons of Aura paint, a 7-piece applicator kit, $50 gift card, a Candice Olson Design Picks fan deck and signed copy of Candice Olson Bedrooms courtesy of Benjamin Moore.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “MOORE ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what other autograph have you snagged? Did you get your favorite band to sign an album cover? Or receive a signed letter from a big name public figure? Maybe you got a big novelty check signed by Ed McMahon? Or just a sweet crayon-drawing signed by a niece or nephew?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Sept 12th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States & Canada (we couldn’t leave out Candice’s homeland!)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Benjamin Moore.

MOORE ME! I have an autograph from two friends in high school who intended to become famous someday… one let the dream go and one I think is trying to make his way in Chicago Musical Theater.

Love Candice! Totally a designer I would let in my house and not be worried.

The coolest autograph we got was Dennis Anderson, Gravedigger Monster Truck Driver, at this year’s event we went to for our 6 year old son’s birthday. He just lit up when he saw Dennis.

Moore me! In the third grade, we had designated class time when we were supposed to write letters, and I always wrote ones to celebrities asking for autographs. I think the first one I got was from John Travolta.

Moore Me!!! I love Candice and just asked the hubs if he remembers when we used to watch her show. She looks so different now. (She was pregnant when we watched.)
I don’t have any great signature stories, but my husband has quite a few… including the time he and his two best friends and one of the bff’s wives went to Detroit to watch a Bears game. They ended up in the same hotel as the players. The bff’s wife went crazy running after players and was completely starstruck while the guys just hung out on the lobby couches and watched her get autographs.

The best autograph I got was from John Elway. The Broncos are my hubby’s favorite team, and when I was just dating him I traveled to Greeley, CO to visit the university there with my sister who was looking at grad schools. My family dropped me off at the Broncos training camp site and left me for a few hours :) I was determined to get my fiance an autograph, so when Elway finally appeared after practice I was the ONLY female and ONLY one taller than 4 1/2 feet crowding around his golf cart to get an autograph. Maybe that’s why he signed mine first! :)
