John Updike came to my college, and I got him to autograph my copy of his book. My mom gave me an autographed copy of Dr. Laura’s “In Praise of Stay-At-Home Moms” when I had my first baby with whom I stay at home :)

I went to a Bryan Adams concert when I was younger, worked my way up to the front row, and got him to autograph my ticket stub at the end of the show. Also, I’m a huge Phillies fan and have managed to get the autographs of quite a few of my favorite players over the years.

Back when I was just a tiny tot my mother took me to a doctor’s appointment. It was one of those appts. to see where you are for your age. After my appointment, oddly enough, we went to pick up some paint! It was in the early 80’s and in Athens, Ga Hershel Walker was all the rage! We bumped into him and I now have his autograph on the back of my doctor’s analysis!! Pretty cool!!

When I was in 8th grade, I had knee surgery in Pittsburgh, PA at Children’s Hospital. The Steelers came to visit and a bunch of them signed my cast including Mean Joe Green, and Lynn Swann. The best part, I was so sick from the anesthesia that I threw up on Steve Courson, a member of the offensive line. Great memories!

This will sound totally Geeked out, but when I was little, I LOVED the symphony. My mom used to take me to ballets and to hear the NJSO at the Arts Center in Holmdel all the time. Well after one performance, I waited around and asked for the conductor’s autograph. His name was Hugh Wolfe. I thought he was just the coolest guy ever (to a 5 year old). And so I still have it! My mom recently sent the program down to me, and I’m thinking of framing it as my first autograph ever :)

We just sold our home that we’ve DIY’d and renovated for two years straight, and will be starting all over again in a new home pretty soon, so this would be an awesome prize to win :)
I used to work in radio, so I have a pretty wide collection of autographs, including John Mayer, Train, Paulo Nutini, The Fray, Amos Lee, Barenaked Ladies, Matt Kearney, Los Lonely Boys, Warren Haynes, The Tragically Hip, Goo Goo Dolls… the list goes on and on! I’ve got lots of great memorabilia stored away to show my kids/grandkids someday :)
