I grew up listening to the oldies station, and Del Shannon’s song “Runaway” was my favourite as a very young girl. At the tender age of 4 my dad took me to a Motown concert in which Del Shannon was performing! I was so excited that I made my way to the front, and somehow ended up onstage dancing! Needless to say, my dancing and singing skills won him over and he (as well as the other Motown performers that day) autographed my program!

Eli Manning was playing football at Ole Miss when I was in high school. My friend and I went one Spring to meet the players. Eli signed one of my shirts for me. I guess that’s pretty good considering he’s a Super Bowl quarterback now. Too bad I switched to being a Mississippi State fan though.
Also, I used to skip school every year with my mom to get the latest copy of John Grisham’s book autographed. I was such a nerd and enjoyed getting to meet and talk with him every year. He doesn’t do meet and greets anymore but my mom still buys me an autographed copy every year.
