no cool autographs here…but one time a minivan in the carpool lane pulled up to me and the mom inside asked if I would autograph a piece of paper for her 5 year old son (all buckled in his booster) who was convinced I was gwen stephanie….HA!!! Which is actually more hilarious in real life because I look nothing like her :)

The best autograph I have is one from my former 4th grade teacher/vice principal. This was in the days before yearbooks could be found at every grade level, and Mrs. Strawn was THE teacher…you know, the teacher that impacted you the most as a kid–in a positive way, of course. She knew all of us kids, and all of our stories, too. She was mid-western, took no bs, smoked like a bad campfire, was skinny as a rail and never stopped moving. I took my autograph book and asked for her to sign it. Wonder where that thing is….

When I was in elementary school the local police department would come out with the K9 unit once a year and we would make little books to get signatures from the officers and dogs. Definitely some of my favorite school memories and I still have my books.

We sat behind Rob Schneider (Deuce Bigelow himself!!) at an Angels game and though he was rooting for the other team, he was nice enough to sign our ticket and take pictures with some fans around us. His group of friends were very nice and it was probably the most fun I’ve had at a baseball game in a long time! btw, he signed “You Can Do It!” below his signature.
