Fab Freebie: Moore Candice To Love

*** This contest is now closed – see who won below!***

And this week’s random winner is… Stacy (who says “when I was little, I got the local radio dj’s autograph and thought I was so cool! Looking back, it is just funny how silly it was!”). Congrats Stacy!

We love us some Candice Olson (and still pinch ourselves that our faces share a webpage with her over on BenjaminMoore.com). So we sweet talked our way into a little Benjamin Moore / Candice Olson prize for you guys – including a signed copy of her latest book, Candice Olson Bedrooms. So once you’ve torn yourself away from petting her signature (not that we’d do that, ok we totally would) and are ready to put that Olson-spiration to use, Benjamin Moore’s gonna lend a hand with two gallons of their Aura paint, a 7-piece applicator kit, a $50 gift card, and your very own Candice Olson Design Picks fan deck. And if that’s not enough of a Candice fix for ya, you can enter to win a personal design consultation from her over on Benjamin Moore’s site.

Benjamin Moore Giveaway2

  • PRIZE: Two gallons of Aura paint, a 7-piece applicator kit, $50 gift card, a Candice Olson Design Picks fan deck and signed copy of Candice Olson Bedrooms courtesy of Benjamin Moore.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “MOORE ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what other autograph have you snagged? Did you get your favorite band to sign an album cover? Or receive a signed letter from a big name public figure? Maybe you got a big novelty check signed by Ed McMahon? Or just a sweet crayon-drawing signed by a niece or nephew?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Sept 12th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States & Canada (we couldn’t leave out Candice’s homeland!)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Benjamin Moore.

I was just glancing at my signed Casper Babypants CD. They’re a great “kindie” band fronted by the lead singer of The Presidents of the United States of America. Original tunes as well as nice covers. A fun momento for both my four year-old and me!

MOORE ME! Years ago I got the autographs of most of the Montreal Canadiens Hockey team while I was on a class trip to Quebec City. I got them for my dad as he was a big fan of Guy Lafleur.

hi there! this would be a great help as we’ve just moved into our first home and have a beautiful monster of a master bedroom that we are excited to infuse with our personality in the creation of our own homey little nest (“little” in the way an albatross’ nest may be considered “little”)…

the only autographs i’ve gotten are from our sounders (mls soccer players) on our team scarves after games. one thing i love most about that sport is the way the players walk the perimeter of the stadium after playing – clapping towards the fans to show their appreciation for the support… keeps it real, somehow humble, and lends that sense of community which i love.

I’m not really huge on autographs, but I do love the idea of preserving the first time a child writes his/her own name as art! Will definitely be doing that when we have kids!

We’re just moving into a new house in the next month, so I’d definitely be putting that prize pack to good use!

    Thanks!

I just hung an awesome work of finger painted art in my (un)formal living room that my daughter made in 1st grade yesterday. It’s awesome and abstract, and you’d never know it was done by a 6 year old except for her autograph on the back. I also have a pic of me and Dave Attell (the Insomniac) but was too chicken to ask Frank Black for a pic b/c he looked mad…I guess he always looks like that, LOL!

Moore me! I don’t think I’ve had much of anything signed by famous people. I’ve met a handful, but I’m always too chicken to ask for a signature. I did play spin-the-bottle with a member from a pretty popular NW US alternative band when I was in middle school. ;)

The first autograph I remember getting was from Faith Hill, at an outside festival, before she was very famous. She was absolutely stunning in person, & I was a very awkward 12 year old. While she signed the merchandise I’d gotten I told her, “You’re so pretty,” and she smiled at me and politely said I was too. That was so kind of her!
