Fab Freebie: Moore Candice To Love

*** This contest is now closed – see who won below!***

And this week’s random winner is… Stacy (who says “when I was little, I got the local radio dj’s autograph and thought I was so cool! Looking back, it is just funny how silly it was!”). Congrats Stacy!

We love us some Candice Olson (and still pinch ourselves that our faces share a webpage with her over on BenjaminMoore.com). So we sweet talked our way into a little Benjamin Moore / Candice Olson prize for you guys – including a signed copy of her latest book, Candice Olson Bedrooms. So once you’ve torn yourself away from petting her signature (not that we’d do that, ok we totally would) and are ready to put that Olson-spiration to use, Benjamin Moore’s gonna lend a hand with two gallons of their Aura paint, a 7-piece applicator kit, a $50 gift card, and your very own Candice Olson Design Picks fan deck. And if that’s not enough of a Candice fix for ya, you can enter to win a personal design consultation from her over on Benjamin Moore’s site.

Benjamin Moore Giveaway2

  • PRIZE: Two gallons of Aura paint, a 7-piece applicator kit, $50 gift card, a Candice Olson Design Picks fan deck and signed copy of Candice Olson Bedrooms courtesy of Benjamin Moore.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “MOORE ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what other autograph have you snagged? Did you get your favorite band to sign an album cover? Or receive a signed letter from a big name public figure? Maybe you got a big novelty check signed by Ed McMahon? Or just a sweet crayon-drawing signed by a niece or nephew?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Sept 12th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States & Canada (we couldn’t leave out Candice’s homeland!)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Benjamin Moore.

I have several autographs curtosey of my dad who collects them. My favorite is one from Charlie Daniels who sent me a letter and picture after my dad wrote him telling him I am a fan and I was having surgery.

I’ve never had a famous person’s autograph but I (and a bunch of my friends) did follow Rob Lowe around Monmarte in France trying to get a picture or autograph. Sadly he wasn’t very nice and we didn’t get one. :-(

I have many signatures of my highschool favorite rock bands- including my personal favorites after waiting outside in the ‘blistering cold’– wait that’s an Eminem lyric. The sad thing is they sit in a box awating some cool shadow box.

When I was 13, my best friend and I got to go to the X-Games that was being held in my state, that year. I got a few amateur, or not well-known skateboarders’ signatures, along with Andy MacDonald’s. I didn’t know at the time, that he was a big time famous skater, until I went back to school and told a friend that I’d met him, and he couldn’t believe it. After that, I stared at his signature every day for probably a week, haha!

I have an “autograph” from our friend’s daughter. It was actually an envelope that went on our wedding gift! It was just so cute how she wrote… “Bailey and Misses Bailey”. The daughter doesn’t know my husband’s first name because everyone calls him by our last name. We totally framed it and hung it in our hallway.

Moore Me! This would be such a big help. We need so much paint for our first home that we are currently under contract for. I’ve got pinks and wood paneling that need to be painted.

Between my husband and I we have signatures from football players, hockey players, Country music singers, Rock bands and I even have the signature of the principal from Saved by the Bell. Me and some friends shared the hotel elevator with him at a conference we went to. Too bad it wasn’t Mark Paul Gossler (Zack) that would have been a much more exciting elevator ride.

I have ZERO luck with celebrities–even when they’re teeming in my hometown during TIFF! The closest I’ve gotten to a celeb autograph is an autograph from my favourite hockey player, Doug Gilmour (Toronto Maple Leaf alum).

When I was 12 years old, I got Jonathan Taylor Thomas’ authograph. I was in his fan club (dork alert!) and was so excited when I got a signed picture of him! I displayed it proudly on my night stand forever.

Now, as a 26 year old, my favorite “autographs” are the drawings that my nephews give me. I plan on framing them and hanging them in my bedroom once we redecorate! <3
