Fab Freebie: Moore Candice To Love

*** This contest is now closed – see who won below!***

And this week’s random winner is… Stacy (who says “when I was little, I got the local radio dj’s autograph and thought I was so cool! Looking back, it is just funny how silly it was!”). Congrats Stacy!

We love us some Candice Olson (and still pinch ourselves that our faces share a webpage with her over on BenjaminMoore.com). So we sweet talked our way into a little Benjamin Moore / Candice Olson prize for you guys – including a signed copy of her latest book, Candice Olson Bedrooms. So once you’ve torn yourself away from petting her signature (not that we’d do that, ok we totally would) and are ready to put that Olson-spiration to use, Benjamin Moore’s gonna lend a hand with two gallons of their Aura paint, a 7-piece applicator kit, a $50 gift card, and your very own Candice Olson Design Picks fan deck. And if that’s not enough of a Candice fix for ya, you can enter to win a personal design consultation from her over on Benjamin Moore’s site.

Benjamin Moore Giveaway2

  • PRIZE: Two gallons of Aura paint, a 7-piece applicator kit, $50 gift card, a Candice Olson Design Picks fan deck and signed copy of Candice Olson Bedrooms courtesy of Benjamin Moore.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “MOORE ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what other autograph have you snagged? Did you get your favorite band to sign an album cover? Or receive a signed letter from a big name public figure? Maybe you got a big novelty check signed by Ed McMahon? Or just a sweet crayon-drawing signed by a niece or nephew?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Sept 12th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States & Canada (we couldn’t leave out Candice’s homeland!)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Benjamin Moore.

Moore me! My husband and I (nerd alert) love Star Trek the next generation so my mother invited Patrick Stewart to our wedding (she was hoping he would send an autographed picture like Mickey supposedly does if you send an invite to Disney lol) and he did! He wrote “to Nick and Kristen, make it so, Patrick Stewart” and it now hangs in our living room. Super super dorky, but I love it.

Back when I was younger and dragged to Nascar races with adults(I had no choice) I got my hat autographed by Dale Earnhardt. Another family who liked Dale Earnhardt wore the hat so much the sun faded the autograph. Probably would have been worth some money if I still had it! Shucks!

This isn’t me, but I was there … my wife is really really into roller derby (so am I, but I’m not quite so much of a fangirl), so at the most recent East Region Tournament she got over fifty autographs from some of the most famous skaters! She claims it was all a ploy to learn more from them, as she’s a coach, but don’t believe her … she was giddy with excitement and later framed the poster from the event with all the signatures. :)

When I was 12 years old, I got Jonathan Taylor Thomas’ authograph. I was in his fan club (dork alert!) and was so excited when I got a signed picture of him! I displayed it proudly on my night stand forever.

Now, as a 26 year old, my favorite “autographs” are the drawings that my nephews give me. I plan on framing them and hanging them in my bedroom once we redecorate! <3

… what other autograph have you snagged? Did you get your favorite band to sign an album cover? Or receive a signed letter from a big name public figure? Maybe you got a big novelty check signed by Ed McMahon? Or just a sweet crayon-drawing signed by a niece or nephew?

MOORE ME! I’m ready to rip off the old wallpaper in my apartment and start painting…

I was able to get Bill Clinton’s autograph in ’92 when I was at the mall in Georgetown. Little did a 14-year-old girl know that the future President was campaigning there…still too young to vote, alas.

The other notable one was when I was at the Denver airport and saw Kurt Browning, the mens figure skater. My parents were big fans, and I went up to him and asked him if I could get his autograph for them. It’s hanging on their wall!

    MOORE ME!

First a little background information: I grew up in Knoxville where it’s all about the Tennessee Volunteer, and my father owned a construction company, so lots of my childhood memories take place a job sites. Anyway, when we saw Peyton Manning one day the guys had to get his autograph. He actually ended up signing a backhoe! His signature was promptly covered by plastic wrap and duct tape so it wouldn’t get “dirty”! That still cracks me up.
