Fab Freebie: Moore Candice To Love

*** This contest is now closed – see who won below!***

And this week’s random winner is… Stacy (who says “when I was little, I got the local radio dj’s autograph and thought I was so cool! Looking back, it is just funny how silly it was!”). Congrats Stacy!

We love us some Candice Olson (and still pinch ourselves that our faces share a webpage with her over on BenjaminMoore.com). So we sweet talked our way into a little Benjamin Moore / Candice Olson prize for you guys – including a signed copy of her latest book, Candice Olson Bedrooms. So once you’ve torn yourself away from petting her signature (not that we’d do that, ok we totally would) and are ready to put that Olson-spiration to use, Benjamin Moore’s gonna lend a hand with two gallons of their Aura paint, a 7-piece applicator kit, a $50 gift card, and your very own Candice Olson Design Picks fan deck. And if that’s not enough of a Candice fix for ya, you can enter to win a personal design consultation from her over on Benjamin Moore’s site.

Benjamin Moore Giveaway2

  • PRIZE: Two gallons of Aura paint, a 7-piece applicator kit, $50 gift card, a Candice Olson Design Picks fan deck and signed copy of Candice Olson Bedrooms courtesy of Benjamin Moore.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “MOORE ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what other autograph have you snagged? Did you get your favorite band to sign an album cover? Or receive a signed letter from a big name public figure? Maybe you got a big novelty check signed by Ed McMahon? Or just a sweet crayon-drawing signed by a niece or nephew?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Sept 12th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States & Canada (we couldn’t leave out Candice’s homeland!)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Benjamin Moore.

MOORE ME! After high school, I went to Disney World for my best friend’s 18th birthday and we stood in line to get autographs of all the Disney characters. I’m sure most people assumed we were babysitting…but nope. Just kids at heart :)

    MOORE ME!

Country singer Tammy Wynette sat on a barstool onstage after her concert and was nice enough to autograph a photo of herself (for free) for me when I was only 7.
When I got home, upon further inspection, I noticed you could barely see her handwriting – so I did what any 7 year-old would do, I got a pen and went over it, carefully, and made it darker, and more noticeable.
    My mother cried. :)

When my two young cousins (13 and 10) visited us for a month last summer we took them to NYC to a broadway show and the lead actor was super cute so we stood outside the stage door for them to come out and got a bunch of the actors and especially the cute one to sign their playbill. They were extatic to say the least.

    I got David Copperfield’s autograph on a t-shirt after a show when I was a teenager.

When I was little, I got Lynda Robb’s autograph. Chuck Robb was Virginia governor at the time. She is also President Johnson’s daughter. that was cool.

No idea where either of those autographs are now though…

Once in grade school we had to write to celebrities and tell them about our dreams. The celebrity assigned to me was Ed Asner. I had no idea who he was at the time but he wrote back! I should go find that letter.

I don’t think I’ve ever gotten an autograph from anyone. The only thing kinda sorta related is the tattoo I got of my son’s handprint. He passed away shortly before birth, so I wanted to get a marking of one of the few physical things he left behind.
