Fab Freebie: Market Fresh

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

This week’s giveaway comes to from two awesome sources of inspiration who are dishing out quite a worldly and wonderful prize for one lucky reader. First up is Fresh Home, one of the few magazines to buck the vanishing shelter pub trend and actually make its debut last year (you may have noticed them in our monthly sponsor shout out last week). This fresh quarterly mag focuses on home improvement and decor ideas for anyone with a finite budget who still wants to make their home beautiful. We can definitely relate. And in a genius turn of events, Fresh Home has teamed up with one of their (and our) favorite sources, Cost Plus World Market, to score an $100 gift card for one lucky YHL reader!

Fresh Home Mag 1

The great thing about Cost Plus World Market is that they’ve got such a wide range of offerings that you could practically do a whole room from there without it looking matchy-matchy in the least. They have everything from couches, coffee tables, and rugs to pillows, lighting, and accessories. Heck, we even purchased the seat cushions for our new office makeover and the rug in our master bedroom there.

Fresh Home World Market

So here’s the full monty on how you can enter this week:

  • PRIZE: $100 gift card to Cost Plus World Market courtesy of CPWM and Fresh Home Magazine.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M FRESH” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … since the summer heat means feeling fresh is a rarity these days, why not tell us what you do to freshen up. A nice cool shower to start your day? A tall glass of lemonade when you come in from the heat? Or maybe a quick deodorant swipe or some mouthwash between meetings?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, August 18th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck…

See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Cost Plus World Market and Fresh Home Magazine.

    I’M FRESH!

I’ve been pregnant and miserably uncomfortable (due in November!). I’ve been sneaking in a swim as often as I can at my in-laws and drinking my body volume in Koolaid! I know… lay off the corn syrup… That has been an unsatiable urge of mine while pregnant, and if that’s the worst of it, I can cope with the heart burn!

I’m fresh! I exercise down in the basement where it’s cool and then drink a glass of cold water; it wakes me up and refreshes me.

I’M FRESH!!! I keep the curtains drawn during the day and open everything up, windows and curtains, at night, uncork a bottle of chilled wine, turn on several fans, and spritz a lavendar linen spray in our bedroom which inevitably flows around the rest of the house and it smells fresh and lovely!

I’m Fresh…. I’ve worked outside all summer in this crazy heat, and besides drinking a gallon of water a day, I find a nice cool shower before bed really is the key to being able to get a good night sleep when it’s still hot and muggy outside. Sometimes, a shower right when I get home and another before bed are what it takes.

I’M FRESH! And to stay fresh I drink plenty of cherry limeade Crystal Light, and in the summer my saving grace is Shower to Shower. I put some of this amazing powder on if I don’t have time to shower between errands or after I workout or go for a swim!

    I’M FRESH

I stay fresh by keeping sparkling water on me. I love carbonated beverages, but stay away from soda b/c of all the nasty stuff in it. Le Croax waters come in cans which are easy for grab and go.

I’m Fresh – We live in sweltering south texas – & since we have a hot tub & no pool, we leave the temperature down to about 92. It doesn’t seem ‘cool’ but on these days with 99 & feels like 110, it really does feel COOL! It’s so refreshing to sit in it & hang out for awhile!

Our favorite way to stay cool is to take the kids to grandma and pop pop’s house to swim in the pool every day after work…that pool hasn’t had this much use since it was built!!! The grandparents love it!
