Fab Freebie: Market Fresh

This week’s giveaway comes to from two awesome sources of inspiration who are dishing out quite a worldly and wonderful prize for one lucky reader. First up is Fresh Home, one of the few magazines to buck the vanishing shelter pub trend and actually make its debut last year (you may have noticed them in our monthly sponsor shout out last week). This fresh quarterly mag focuses on home improvement and decor ideas for anyone with a finite budget who still wants to make their home beautiful. We can definitely relate. And in a genius turn of events, Fresh Home has teamed up with one of their (and our) favorite sources, Cost Plus World Market, to score an $100 gift card for one lucky YHL reader!

The great thing about Cost Plus World Market is that they’ve got such a wide range of offerings that you could practically do a whole room from there without it looking matchy-matchy in the least. They have everything from couches, coffee tables, and rugs to pillows, lighting, and accessories. Heck, we even purchased the seat cushions for our new office makeover and the rug in our master bedroom there.

    Here in New Orleans, it gets really hot. I like to cool off with a New Orleans snowball and some cool company, and some seafood.

    I’ve been experimenting with a wide variety of iced tea flavors this summer. So far, the fave is peach and green tea!

    I’M FRESH!
    I love washing my hair, scrunching with a little mouse and then walking out of the house with partially wet hair- keeps me cool. Ben & Jerry’s Coffee Heath Bar Crunch helps too!

    I’M FRESH….

    I use baby powder everywhere! Absorbs sweat and keeps you smelling fresh. I also keep a bottle of body splash in the fridge. Instant refreshment.

    I’m fresh :)

    In the sickening St. Louis humidity, I stay fresh by freezing wet wash cloths to bring to the Cardinals games…before indulging in a soft serve twist ice cream cone!

    As a lifeguard during the summer months, I am always battling the heat, a quick dip in the pool always cools me off!!

    I’M FRESH (and so clean, clean) Couldn’t help it:)

    To freshen up, I take a cool shower, or spritz my face with refrigerated Vitamin C face spritzer from the Body Shop.

    I sweat a lot so when i get to hot I like to use Mario Badescu’s Facial Spray. It smells really good and is always really refreshing after a few to many minutes in the sun.

    …and I take cool showers before hopping in bed at night in the summer. Helps me cool down, relax and sleep like a baby =)

    •After a blazing hot 100% humidity day I like to come home from work cool off with a nice refreshing shower and then….

    I’M FRESH!! A couple things that I do to freshen up for my day is by washing my face and put on my cooling moisturizer as well as drinking ice cold water with lemon and a dash of maple syrup. Weird I know, but it’s good. You won’t lose or gain any weight by doing that but the drink combination does a wonderful thing for your skin due to some of the vitamins in the syrup. :)

    I’M FRESH! I take a shower and put on a fresh set of clothes, but I also like a cold drink. One of my favorites is Seagram’s malted beverage. :)

    I’m Fresh . . . coming in out of the peanut butter weather (i.e. the air is so thick and hot that it feels like you are walking through peanut butter) in South Alabama to air conditioning!

    I’m FRESH. I always keep unscented organic baby wipes in the car and restroom and they work great for wiping the sweat off the back of your neck. Not to mention the many clean up capabilites the rest of the year. :)

    Unfortunately, it’s been iced white chocolate mochas recently that “freshen” me up. . .I’m trying to stick to no more than one a week, though. It’s an expensive habit!

    I’M FRESH…..lots of showers are a must! I can’t stand feeling sweaty or that sticky feeling you get after you come into the AC from the heat.
