Fab Freebie: Market Fresh

This week’s giveaway comes to from two awesome sources of inspiration who are dishing out quite a worldly and wonderful prize for one lucky reader. First up is Fresh Home, one of the few magazines to buck the vanishing shelter pub trend and actually make its debut last year (you may have noticed them in our monthly sponsor shout out last week). This fresh quarterly mag focuses on home improvement and decor ideas for anyone with a finite budget who still wants to make their home beautiful. We can definitely relate. And in a genius turn of events, Fresh Home has teamed up with one of their (and our) favorite sources, Cost Plus World Market, to score an $100 gift card for one lucky YHL reader!

The great thing about Cost Plus World Market is that they’ve got such a wide range of offerings that you could practically do a whole room from there without it looking matchy-matchy in the least. They have everything from couches, coffee tables, and rugs to pillows, lighting, and accessories. Heck, we even purchased the seat cushions for our new office makeover and the rug in our master bedroom there.

    I’m fresh!

    Since I’m living without air conditioning, sometimes I get my hair wet before going to bed. Makes everything feel so much nicer.

    I’m so FRESH!! :]

    When this Georgia heat or Texas heat (Hometownnnn!) get to me I love to enjoy a nice glass of sweet tea. Once I add the ice cubes I stir the tea with a knife…the metal makes the ice react faster and cools your drink down immediately.

    I’m fresh … and started taking a cue from my husband who, immediately after finishing yard work or some other outdoor task, strips off his clothes and jumps right into the pool! Luckily we have a very private backyard, but I still thought he was a little crazy until I tried it one day – and nothing feels better than jumping into that cool water after working under the hot Phoenix sun for a few hours!!

    I’M FRESH! – I drink a big glass of lemon water and stand outside on the hot concrete and run the cold hose water over my feet.. it reminds me of being a kid again!

    I’M FRESH!

    I try to give our baby a bath every night after a hot day. He loves to splash, which helps cool me down too!

    I’m FRESH! I live in Seattle and most of us don’t have air conditioning, so on the very few days when it’s hot (like today it’s 90!) I tend to sit on the floor in front of my fan for most of the day. A nice splash of cold water on the face helps too.

    I’M FRESH!!!

    Since it’s WAAAAAY hot here (today’s heat index was supposed to be between 105 and 110!!!) I try to stay inside in the A/C to keep cool and fresh! :-) That or in the pool. It’s all you can do.

    Yeah the humidity in Chicago has been awful so of course the ac decides to brake down!! So there have been alot of cold showers!!

    I’M FRESH… and we LIVE at the pool in the summer. We’re in Houston and its scorching pretty much year round but for some reason they only think pools should be open in the summer? Every day after my little naps we hit the pool for a couple hours to cool of and have some fun! Great giveaway, LOVE World Market and could definitely use this!
