Fab Freebie: Market Fresh

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

This week’s giveaway comes to from two awesome sources of inspiration who are dishing out quite a worldly and wonderful prize for one lucky reader. First up is Fresh Home, one of the few magazines to buck the vanishing shelter pub trend and actually make its debut last year (you may have noticed them in our monthly sponsor shout out last week). This fresh quarterly mag focuses on home improvement and decor ideas for anyone with a finite budget who still wants to make their home beautiful. We can definitely relate. And in a genius turn of events, Fresh Home has teamed up with one of their (and our) favorite sources, Cost Plus World Market, to score an $100 gift card for one lucky YHL reader!

Fresh Home Mag 1

The great thing about Cost Plus World Market is that they’ve got such a wide range of offerings that you could practically do a whole room from there without it looking matchy-matchy in the least. They have everything from couches, coffee tables, and rugs to pillows, lighting, and accessories. Heck, we even purchased the seat cushions for our new office makeover and the rug in our master bedroom there.

Fresh Home World Market

So here’s the full monty on how you can enter this week:

  • PRIZE: $100 gift card to Cost Plus World Market courtesy of CPWM and Fresh Home Magazine.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M FRESH” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … since the summer heat means feeling fresh is a rarity these days, why not tell us what you do to freshen up. A nice cool shower to start your day? A tall glass of lemonade when you come in from the heat? Or maybe a quick deodorant swipe or some mouthwash between meetings?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, August 18th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck…

See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Cost Plus World Market and Fresh Home Magazine.

I love to go swimming in a lake nearby. It cools me down and gives me a break from work.

It is HOT HOT HOT in Atlanta. To cool off, I stand in front of the fan (like a dog) as long as possible b/c my condo is always hot and I want to keep the GA Power bill down!

Right now, minty iced tea – made with mint from my garden! – is totally keeping me fresh!

I also love opening the windows (when the temps are moderate) and fresh tomatoes from the garden. So summery!

    I’M FRESH and fabulous!!

For me, I put freshly washed linen’s on my bed before going to sleep. It always feels great to slip into a set of clean sheets anytime of the year but I feel over the summer it really takes away that extra humid feeling to them.

I’M FRESH and while working in the insane heat to get my house on the market these last two weeks, the only solution is lots of cold water all day, followed by an ice-cold beer at the end of the day.

I’m Fresh! Living in Alaska, I don’t have to deal with high temperatures too often, but yesterday we reached 91, breaking the old record. I’m recovering from surgery, otherwise I would have floated down the river from bar to bar to stay cool. Instead, I opened all the windows, turned on the ceiling fan, and drank a tall glass of lemonade with lots of ice cubes.

and in order to stay that way, after a long day of work and working out (in whatever order you want to put that) I like to drink a glass of 1/3 Simply Lemonade mixed with 2/3 sparkling water, ice, and some nice cold ice. The lemonade itself is really sweet, but when it’s watered down with yummy fizzyness of the sparkling water, it tastes great and is totally refreshing! Give it a try!!! And sometimes I add a slice o lemon to make it look prettier and taste tangier!
