Fab Freebie: Market Fresh

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

This week’s giveaway comes to from two awesome sources of inspiration who are dishing out quite a worldly and wonderful prize for one lucky reader. First up is Fresh Home, one of the few magazines to buck the vanishing shelter pub trend and actually make its debut last year (you may have noticed them in our monthly sponsor shout out last week). This fresh quarterly mag focuses on home improvement and decor ideas for anyone with a finite budget who still wants to make their home beautiful. We can definitely relate. And in a genius turn of events, Fresh Home has teamed up with one of their (and our) favorite sources, Cost Plus World Market, to score an $100 gift card for one lucky YHL reader!

Fresh Home Mag 1

The great thing about Cost Plus World Market is that they’ve got such a wide range of offerings that you could practically do a whole room from there without it looking matchy-matchy in the least. They have everything from couches, coffee tables, and rugs to pillows, lighting, and accessories. Heck, we even purchased the seat cushions for our new office makeover and the rug in our master bedroom there.

Fresh Home World Market

So here’s the full monty on how you can enter this week:

  • PRIZE: $100 gift card to Cost Plus World Market courtesy of CPWM and Fresh Home Magazine.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M FRESH” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … since the summer heat means feeling fresh is a rarity these days, why not tell us what you do to freshen up. A nice cool shower to start your day? A tall glass of lemonade when you come in from the heat? Or maybe a quick deodorant swipe or some mouthwash between meetings?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, August 18th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck…

See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Cost Plus World Market and Fresh Home Magazine.

I’M FRESH! As much as I know water should quench thirst from the heat, I love a good fountain Diet Coke. And… I LOVE World Market. We’ve gotten so much stuff from there lately!

I love freezing lemon slices for a glass of water or lemonade. I also love freezing juice in ice cube trays. That way when you want a cold drink you can use the cubes of the same juice (or in punch) and your beverage isn’t watered down when they melt!

We’re lucky to have cooler mornings in this part of the country….taking a walk or run in the cooler morning hours helps me get through the hot afternoons.
P.S. I have been stalking a World Market couch for the last 6 months…

I’m fresh! I hang out in my garden level kitchen, which stays about 10 degrees cooler than the rest of the house. I also like to strategically walk past neighbors’ sprinklers when I’m walking my dog.

Actually, I don’t do anything too exciting to stay fresh (showers, cold beverages, ice cream, you know). But, my dog Gemma loves a good smoothie to cool her down and stay fresh! I mash up bananas and peanut butter together, then freeze the mixture in a plastic container. When Gemma is hot from running and playing outside, I pop a frozen smoothie into her food bowl and she licks it to her hearts content!

    I’M FRESH!

I try to cook more than one meal on the nights that I do cook, so I don’t have to heat up the whole kitchen every night for dinner. And I try to make cold side-dishes (like salad) instead of a cooked one to again, reduce heat output in the kitchen.

When all the world is stale, I’M FRESH…or at least I want to be!

After mowing the lawn, I love to lay on the cold cement of my garage floor. I know, I know…not the freshest, per se, but it’s all relative anyway. Isn’t it? :)

And I would loooooooooove a WM gift card…we are going to buy a dining table there in a few weeks, so it would be GREAT to have!!!
