Fab Freebie: Home Depot Gift Card & Tools

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Thanks to random.org’s trusty randomness, we’ve got our winner and it is… Gretchen B (whose husband is “a mastermind with wood. He can make almost anything, at times he has surprised himself at what he canters up.”). That sounds familiar. Congrats Gretchen!

Sorry this post is a few minutes late (380 pages of book proofing = crazytown). But Happy Almost Father’s Day everyone! To help us celebrate, Home Depot is giving away an $100 man card, er, gift card so one lucky reader gets a fast and easy way to show their handy hubby/dad/uncle/brother/grandpa/neighbor how much they care… or how much they really want them to finish that project. Home Depot’s also throwing in a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit (valued at $150) because no tool collection is complete without a power drill and driver. Plus this one weighs less than three pounds and the battery lasts four times longer than your everyday battery. So guys, I’ll guess we’ll all have to come up with another excuse to take a break from our to-do lists.

Home Depot Fathers Day Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $100 Home Depot gift card and a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what’s the “manliest” quality of the person you’re celebrating this coming weekend. Do you admire your dad’s ability to fix anything? Do you just love seeing the father of your children with a little bit of stubble? Or maybe the way your brother plays with your nieces earns him major guy-points in your book?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Home Depot.

What makes my husband so manly? What doesn’t make him manly? He works hard, is such an awesome dad, does dishes, hunts, fishes, likes sports, draws houses, etc. I could go on and on and on!

Every single thing about my husband is the manliest. From his love of hunting and camping to his way with our children. He even has a pink shirt he likes and isn’t afraid to admit he likes chick flicks almost as much as I do.

I’d have to say I admire my dads ability to deal with anything that is thrown at him and still stay strong and so positive! He is on his second run in with cancer and still reminds us to be positive and help him kick cancer in the booty! :)

I also admire my husband and all the amazing moments he shares with my beautiful baby girl. She is so in love with him! Daddy’s little girl!

My dad taught me to look through TRASH! We would always stop to look through the things other people were throwing away. It always suprised me how many great things you could find. I think we furnished my whole first apartment with curbside pick ups. I love my father for teaching me how to search for treasure and I still do it today with my craft projects and home.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!!! I love my Dad’s ability to do what ever it takes to support his family. While I was growing up he usually had two or three jobs, so my mom didn’t have to work, and we had whatever it was we needed. He had a full-time factory job on 2nd shift and was a painter from 9am – 2pm, came home, ate, and went to his factory job. On weekend he freelanced as a wedding photographer, and plowed know for businesses during the winter. He did so many different odd jobs, its hard to remember them all. He’s always been a DIY Dad, and this gift would really make his Father’s Day.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! My hubby can fix most anything thanks to HIS dad who can REALLY fix anything. Between the two of them, they have built two decks, replaced windows (big windows), remodeled our bathroom and built a fence. And that’s just at our current house! My father-in-law installed an elevator and raised his own house by a couple of feet. DIY to the max!
