Fab Freebie: Home Depot Gift Card & Tools

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Thanks to random.org’s trusty randomness, we’ve got our winner and it is… Gretchen B (whose husband is “a mastermind with wood. He can make almost anything, at times he has surprised himself at what he canters up.”). That sounds familiar. Congrats Gretchen!

Sorry this post is a few minutes late (380 pages of book proofing = crazytown). But Happy Almost Father’s Day everyone! To help us celebrate, Home Depot is giving away an $100 man card, er, gift card so one lucky reader gets a fast and easy way to show their handy hubby/dad/uncle/brother/grandpa/neighbor how much they care… or how much they really want them to finish that project. Home Depot’s also throwing in a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit (valued at $150) because no tool collection is complete without a power drill and driver. Plus this one weighs less than three pounds and the battery lasts four times longer than your everyday battery. So guys, I’ll guess we’ll all have to come up with another excuse to take a break from our to-do lists.

Home Depot Fathers Day Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $100 Home Depot gift card and a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what’s the “manliest” quality of the person you’re celebrating this coming weekend. Do you admire your dad’s ability to fix anything? Do you just love seeing the father of your children with a little bit of stubble? Or maybe the way your brother plays with your nieces earns him major guy-points in your book?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Home Depot.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY… Manliest quality of my father would be his insistence on attempting to fix everything himself instead of hiring someone to do things for him.

    HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

My guy’s manliness comes out with near-constant reminders about personal safety. We live in a good area in the midwest, but he still reminds me to “be careful in the parking lot” of the grocery store, Target, etc.

Happy Father’s Day! My Dad has what I consider a “manly garage.” It’s full of every tool, a mid-century Mercedes he hasn’t driven in years, tires, storage lockers, and all kinds of things that I don’t even know the name of. My Dad has never been afraid to try and fix anything and when I go in that garage, it just reminds me of that.

I’m celebrating my hubby, dad and stepdad this weekend! The “manliest” quality my hubby has is that he’s a stay-home-dad to our two girls and handles it well! The manliest quality about my dad is how awesome he is with woodworking, reminding me of my late grandpa. As for my stepdad, he’s a mason and works very hard out in the elements every day!

One of the things I love about my father is that his laugh is infectious. It doesn’t matter what you are doing or where you are. If my father thinks something is funny he will bring the house down…even though we have no idea what we are laughing at.

    HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!!!

My husband grew up with a single mother and a sister, and for the last five years we’ve had a beautiful little girl as our only child. This is his first Father’s Day since our little boy was born. It’s been amazing to watch him learn to be a father to the son he never thought he’d have. He’s so excited, and I’m excited for the two of them as they both get to learn about the father-son relationship for the first time. Meanwhile, our daughter is also a Daddy’s Girl – and I’m so thankful that both of my kids have such a great Dad!

What I love about MY dad is that he’s just so well rounded — between music, movies, pets, handiness. Even as an adult I feel like he knows EVERYTHING. And in proper Dad fashion he came down for a visit and insisted on putting dimmers on a few of my light-switches. :)
