Fab Freebie: Home Depot Gift Card & Tools

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Thanks to random.org’s trusty randomness, we’ve got our winner and it is… Gretchen B (whose husband is “a mastermind with wood. He can make almost anything, at times he has surprised himself at what he canters up.”). That sounds familiar. Congrats Gretchen!

Sorry this post is a few minutes late (380 pages of book proofing = crazytown). But Happy Almost Father’s Day everyone! To help us celebrate, Home Depot is giving away an $100 man card, er, gift card so one lucky reader gets a fast and easy way to show their handy hubby/dad/uncle/brother/grandpa/neighbor how much they care… or how much they really want them to finish that project. Home Depot’s also throwing in a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit (valued at $150) because no tool collection is complete without a power drill and driver. Plus this one weighs less than three pounds and the battery lasts four times longer than your everyday battery. So guys, I’ll guess we’ll all have to come up with another excuse to take a break from our to-do lists.

Home Depot Fathers Day Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $100 Home Depot gift card and a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what’s the “manliest” quality of the person you’re celebrating this coming weekend. Do you admire your dad’s ability to fix anything? Do you just love seeing the father of your children with a little bit of stubble? Or maybe the way your brother plays with your nieces earns him major guy-points in your book?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Home Depot.

Happy Father’s Day- I love it when I see him play with our daughter. Perhaps not a traditional ‘manly’ quality.

My Dad can build anything. My mom usually picks something out from crate&barrel or pottery barn…. and then my dad MAKES it instead. My husband is now using my dad’s workshop (and guidance/expertise) to make a crate & barrel desk for our house! We are so spoiled.

Happy Father’s Day! This will be the first Father’s Day since losing my Daddy in November. I loved the way he always followed his passions and lived life to its fullest. Even though he lived a short life, only 63 years, he lived a good life. My husband was his best friend and twin separated by a generation, so it is the same qualities I love in him(at least the majority of the time–until it gets in the way of chores around the house).

Happy Father’s Day! My husband is super manly when he plays with our two sons (ages 4 and 10 months) by letting them climb all over him, acts like he’s their personal horsey, and lets them jump on him with abandon. He’s the man!

    HAPPY FATHER’S DAY
The think the manliest thing about my dad is not just the uncanny way he can fix or make anything but that he let me help and taught me how along the way. He was never to busy to share his knowledge or let me figure it out/plan. I loved being the one to hold the flashlight, hand the tools, and ask “what’s next”. That is a great gift for anyone but especially for a daughter. Thanks DAD!

Happy Father’s Day!! The manliest thing about my dad is that he always is checking over my car whenever I am visiting my parents. It’s so nice of him when he checks the oil, fills the windshield washer fluid, etc. It really is such an act of kindness that he does for all of his four children (even though we are adults now)! Thanks Dad!!

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! The manliest quality about my man is that he doesn’t feel the need to act “manly” at all. While he great about fixing all kinds of things, he istotally and openly not interested in sports, cars, and other typical “manly” things. He wants a composter for his upcoming birthday and is thrilled about our CSA. Still, he is in and out of home improvement stores all weekend long!
