Fab Freebie: Home Depot Gift Card & Tools

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Thanks to random.org’s trusty randomness, we’ve got our winner and it is… Gretchen B (whose husband is “a mastermind with wood. He can make almost anything, at times he has surprised himself at what he canters up.”). That sounds familiar. Congrats Gretchen!

Sorry this post is a few minutes late (380 pages of book proofing = crazytown). But Happy Almost Father’s Day everyone! To help us celebrate, Home Depot is giving away an $100 man card, er, gift card so one lucky reader gets a fast and easy way to show their handy hubby/dad/uncle/brother/grandpa/neighbor how much they care… or how much they really want them to finish that project. Home Depot’s also throwing in a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit (valued at $150) because no tool collection is complete without a power drill and driver. Plus this one weighs less than three pounds and the battery lasts four times longer than your everyday battery. So guys, I’ll guess we’ll all have to come up with another excuse to take a break from our to-do lists.

Home Depot Fathers Day Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $100 Home Depot gift card and a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what’s the “manliest” quality of the person you’re celebrating this coming weekend. Do you admire your dad’s ability to fix anything? Do you just love seeing the father of your children with a little bit of stubble? Or maybe the way your brother plays with your nieces earns him major guy-points in your book?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Home Depot.

Happy father’s day! My husband isn’t a dad yet but I know he’ll be awesome at it from the way he plays with other people’s kids! My actual dad’s manliest quality is the way he takes care of his family so patiently.

This would go to my husband, Nick, who is incredibly handy. He just made our son a water/sand table for his 2nd birthday. He would use this gift to help purchase a circular saw. We’ve gone too long without one!

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY: my husband’s manliest quality is how he teaches our daughters to love the outdoors and teaches them to fish, how to identify animal tracks, etc. My dad’s manliest quality is how tender he is with my daughters, his granddaughters.

Happy Father’s Day! My stepfather is a music guru, and he also loves the great outdoors. To enhance his relaxation techniques, he wired some speakers to the backyard and created an awesome outdoor living space. If he’s not inside, that’s where we’ll find him!

I love that my man will do and can do anything around the house. Once I asked him to build me a mantle, in the middle of that project….I said “honey, I could really use another shelf in the pantry”…without skipping a beat he put in a new shelf in about 10 mins. and continued on with the mantle….What a guy!! (both look awesome)

    HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!!!

My husband has given me a definition of “manly”. He is kind, compassionate, and works his tail feathers off for his family! Family time in the evening is his priority, and he waits until the kids and I head off to bed before he starts his “homework” as a high school teacher. After 25 years of marriage, I still love him more each day!!!

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! My father’s greatest quality was how he never, ever gave up, even while he was dying from a really aggressive form of cancer. He was living by his own rules until the second he passed on.

In his absence, my older brother has stepped up into the “man” of the family and how could he not, with such a great role model like my dad?

My dad will always be my hero for killing cockroaches when spotted by my mom or I. We would always just yell for our bug hunter and point at / watch the cockroach until he showed up with a shoe and a paper towel. And my hubby is quickly learning how to do the same :-)
