Fab Freebie: Home Depot Gift Card & Tools

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Thanks to random.org’s trusty randomness, we’ve got our winner and it is… Gretchen B (whose husband is “a mastermind with wood. He can make almost anything, at times he has surprised himself at what he canters up.”). That sounds familiar. Congrats Gretchen!

Sorry this post is a few minutes late (380 pages of book proofing = crazytown). But Happy Almost Father’s Day everyone! To help us celebrate, Home Depot is giving away an $100 man card, er, gift card so one lucky reader gets a fast and easy way to show their handy hubby/dad/uncle/brother/grandpa/neighbor how much they care… or how much they really want them to finish that project. Home Depot’s also throwing in a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit (valued at $150) because no tool collection is complete without a power drill and driver. Plus this one weighs less than three pounds and the battery lasts four times longer than your everyday battery. So guys, I’ll guess we’ll all have to come up with another excuse to take a break from our to-do lists.

Home Depot Fathers Day Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $100 Home Depot gift card and a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what’s the “manliest” quality of the person you’re celebrating this coming weekend. Do you admire your dad’s ability to fix anything? Do you just love seeing the father of your children with a little bit of stubble? Or maybe the way your brother plays with your nieces earns him major guy-points in your book?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Home Depot.

Happy Father’s day! I know my favorite thing about my boyfriend should probably be that he is so handy and helpful around the house, but the manly thing I love about him is his beard!

The manliest thing about my husband is the fact that he works a full time job then comes home and starts his second – remodeling our house – all without complaint and with making us feel like the most important part of his life. Love him!

    Happy Fathers Day!!
I love that my husband is willing to try and fix things. My own father is very handy and i have learned so many things from watching him. I love knowing our daughter is looking up to her dad the same way. Just like i wasn’t very good at cooking when we got married he wasn’t very handy. My have things changed in the last 7 years.

    Happy Father’s Day!

I love how my dad is a diy sometimes to a fault. When we were kids and we wanted to fix/do something say like car brakes he would tell us to go the library to look up how to do it.

It will be my husband’s first Father’s day with a little bun in the oven. I would say it’s also his can-do, diy, what could go wrong spirit. I now have a 15 ft. fixer upper sailboat in my driveway due to that spirit.

    HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

My husband’s “manliest” quality is his ability to show a wide range of emotions. He is incredibly human in that regard, nothing “typical man” about him. For that reason, he is a great Dad and I’m so happy to be parenting our beautiful son with him.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY One the the the manliest thing about my husband is his kindness. I use to hear about all the romantic things my friend’s husbands would do, like flowers and jewelry, but I would take kindness over romance any day. Give me a man how is kind and thoughtful enough to get the house cleaned before I come home from a girls night out over jewelry any day.

AND he would totally let me keep the prize if I won…..a big help to a single parent like me who DOES know how to use a power tool! Lol :)
