Fab Freebie: Home Depot Gift Card & Tools

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Thanks to random.org’s trusty randomness, we’ve got our winner and it is… Gretchen B (whose husband is “a mastermind with wood. He can make almost anything, at times he has surprised himself at what he canters up.”). That sounds familiar. Congrats Gretchen!

Sorry this post is a few minutes late (380 pages of book proofing = crazytown). But Happy Almost Father’s Day everyone! To help us celebrate, Home Depot is giving away an $100 man card, er, gift card so one lucky reader gets a fast and easy way to show their handy hubby/dad/uncle/brother/grandpa/neighbor how much they care… or how much they really want them to finish that project. Home Depot’s also throwing in a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit (valued at $150) because no tool collection is complete without a power drill and driver. Plus this one weighs less than three pounds and the battery lasts four times longer than your everyday battery. So guys, I’ll guess we’ll all have to come up with another excuse to take a break from our to-do lists.

Home Depot Fathers Day Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $100 Home Depot gift card and a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what’s the “manliest” quality of the person you’re celebrating this coming weekend. Do you admire your dad’s ability to fix anything? Do you just love seeing the father of your children with a little bit of stubble? Or maybe the way your brother plays with your nieces earns him major guy-points in your book?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Home Depot.

    HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

I love it when my hubby carries our daughter on his shoulders. I can’t do it (or am afraid to), but she loves it so much!

    Happy Father’s Day!

The manliest thing about my husband is how he totally takes care of the food in our household. He’s an amazing cook (thank you Alton Brown!), and he feeds us and our two children both lunch and dinner every day. He works from home, so it’s not too hard. But I am a SAHM, so it’s extra sweet that he does it for us as it’s not my cup of tea.

I have to give shout out to my brother. He isn’t a Father, but he’ll be a great one someday (even if kids freak him out a little now). He’s the most dedicated, determined person I know. Plus he worked for 5 years as a mover so he can lift ANYTHING!

Happy Father’s Day!!! The manliest thing about my guy is his ability to customize vintage cars. He’s currently restoring and customizing a 1941 Ford Coupe and it’s looking amazing! I’m in awe of his skills when it comes to envisioning something, then cutting, welding, sanding, etc. to make it come to life.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! The manliest thing about my husband right now is he has been spending weekends for the past couple months removing, fixing, and re-installing the transmission + related parts in his Camaro. Lots of dirty, greasy, hard work, but it’s finally done, so he’s super happy.

I love how manly my husband is when he would rather stay home to change the baby’s diaper and build Lego sets with our 5 and 9 yr old boys than do anything else. Despite growing up with an absent father, he is a great one to our 3 kids. We are so lucky to have him! :)

Happy Fathers Day. I lost my dad 2 years ago, but i will be celebrating his legacy and my soon-to-be-father-in-law this weekend at a family picnic. The manliest things about him include his genuine desire to teach his son all the things he knows, his handyman skills and the whiskey he sips from time to time.
