Fab Freebie: Home Depot Gift Card & Tools

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Thanks to random.org’s trusty randomness, we’ve got our winner and it is… Gretchen B (whose husband is “a mastermind with wood. He can make almost anything, at times he has surprised himself at what he canters up.”). That sounds familiar. Congrats Gretchen!

Sorry this post is a few minutes late (380 pages of book proofing = crazytown). But Happy Almost Father’s Day everyone! To help us celebrate, Home Depot is giving away an $100 man card, er, gift card so one lucky reader gets a fast and easy way to show their handy hubby/dad/uncle/brother/grandpa/neighbor how much they care… or how much they really want them to finish that project. Home Depot’s also throwing in a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit (valued at $150) because no tool collection is complete without a power drill and driver. Plus this one weighs less than three pounds and the battery lasts four times longer than your everyday battery. So guys, I’ll guess we’ll all have to come up with another excuse to take a break from our to-do lists.

Home Depot Fathers Day Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $100 Home Depot gift card and a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what’s the “manliest” quality of the person you’re celebrating this coming weekend. Do you admire your dad’s ability to fix anything? Do you just love seeing the father of your children with a little bit of stubble? Or maybe the way your brother plays with your nieces earns him major guy-points in your book?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Home Depot.

    HAPPY FATHERS DAY!
I love that I can always call my dad for support when I’m stuck on a problem (with my car, a home project – anything).

Happy Father’s Day! The manliest thing about my dad is he’s not afraid to (try to) fix anything. He does it all, from home improvement, to turkey calls, to cooking. He’s the bomb!

    HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!!!!

Well, I’m here in Cocoa Beach, FL for work for 5 weeks, and he’s home with a 3 and a 1 year old. That pretty much says it all (though I don’t really know the current state of the house, haha).

    Happy Father’s Day!

My hubby is amazing, yet I love the fact that he isn’t self concious and feels comfortable playing babies with our 18 month old girl and Barbies with our 7 year old. To me being a great father and husband is manly. :)

Thanks for your amazing blog. It is wonderful and aspiring! :)

    Happy Father’s Day!

I still think my Dad is a superhero. He built an entire cabin (well, more of a house, really!) by himself! He has spent all of his vacation time in the last 15 years in the mountains (a 6 hour drive from our house), adding one feature every summer. He’s retiring this year and he and my mother will finally be able to move into their dream house. It’s the ultimate DIY project!

The manliest thing about my husband is his sensitive side. He’s 6 foot tall with a “crusty” exterior, but the way he looks at our boys with such love is charming so sweet.

    HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

The manliest thing my dad ever did was write a letter to my mom on my gradution day (they had been divorced for almost 15 years at that point) telling her that he thought she did a wonderful job raising me and offering to continue paying child support through my college years since I was going to to live at home with my mom while going to a local college.

Manliest thing….hmmmm My husband works a lot so therefore isn’t home much. When he is home he’s a big softy with the kids. They can get away with anything when he’s home and they know it….it’s aggravating at times but they know the limits. I love it. haha.
