Fab Freebie: Home Depot Gift Card & Tools

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Thanks to random.org’s trusty randomness, we’ve got our winner and it is… Gretchen B (whose husband is “a mastermind with wood. He can make almost anything, at times he has surprised himself at what he canters up.”). That sounds familiar. Congrats Gretchen!

Sorry this post is a few minutes late (380 pages of book proofing = crazytown). But Happy Almost Father’s Day everyone! To help us celebrate, Home Depot is giving away an $100 man card, er, gift card so one lucky reader gets a fast and easy way to show their handy hubby/dad/uncle/brother/grandpa/neighbor how much they care… or how much they really want them to finish that project. Home Depot’s also throwing in a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit (valued at $150) because no tool collection is complete without a power drill and driver. Plus this one weighs less than three pounds and the battery lasts four times longer than your everyday battery. So guys, I’ll guess we’ll all have to come up with another excuse to take a break from our to-do lists.

Home Depot Fathers Day Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $100 Home Depot gift card and a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what’s the “manliest” quality of the person you’re celebrating this coming weekend. Do you admire your dad’s ability to fix anything? Do you just love seeing the father of your children with a little bit of stubble? Or maybe the way your brother plays with your nieces earns him major guy-points in your book?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Home Depot.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! I must say, seeing the way my husband takes care of me and our toddler son just makes me melt. He supports us while we support him. I love him so much!

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! My husband never turns down an opportunity to play a game with our daughters or our preschool-aged son’s request for a horsey-ride. I love that he’s never too busy or selfish to get down on the floor and put in the time to create those memories.

Happy Father’s Day! My Dad is the all-around handy man. I have seen him fix about everything from replacing portions of plumbing pipes to fixing a car using a golf tee…yeah. And he’s always willing to help me out so he deserves something in return. :)

Happy Father’s Day! My dad might be Mr. Fix-It, but what I appreciate about him most is actually his so-called feminine side – how loving and understanding he is.

My dad’s manliest quality is that was a fierce hockey player back in high school and college and earned himself the nickname “Freight Train.” He is still a total sports junkie to this day!

    HAPPY FATHERS DAY!

The best ‘manliest’ thing about my Dad is when he came with me to buy my first car. He is kind of a quieter/shy guy but when it came to his baby girl buying her first car he was all macho making sure I got the best deal. I will never forget it!!

Happy Father’s Day :) I’m commenting for my father :) What makes my father manly? He was 17 when my mom got pregnant, he turned 18 two days before I was born and he stuck by my mother through everything :) A month later she was pregnant with my brother and they married when I was about two. I’m now 21 and they added another child to the family about 11 years ago. They’re still together and going stronger than ever :) My husband (we don’t have any kids yet) is in the Air Force and we’re stationed in Florida while our families are in Oregon. My dad took it pretty hard because we’re like best friends. He texts me daily and he counts down the days until I visit :D It’s cute haha. He recently told me I changed his life. I saved him. I made him who he is and he wanted to thank me for that. My father is the best father I could have ever hoped for. I love you dad :)

HAPPY FATHERS DAY! The manliest/gentlemanly/patriarchal thing about my Dad is that he still sends me roses on Sweetest Day, which I didn’t know was a regionally celebrated holiday until he had flowers delivered when I moved away for college and no one knew what Sweetest Day was!
