Fab Freebie: Home Depot Gift Card & Tools

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Thanks to random.org’s trusty randomness, we’ve got our winner and it is… Gretchen B (whose husband is “a mastermind with wood. He can make almost anything, at times he has surprised himself at what he canters up.”). That sounds familiar. Congrats Gretchen!

Sorry this post is a few minutes late (380 pages of book proofing = crazytown). But Happy Almost Father’s Day everyone! To help us celebrate, Home Depot is giving away an $100 man card, er, gift card so one lucky reader gets a fast and easy way to show their handy hubby/dad/uncle/brother/grandpa/neighbor how much they care… or how much they really want them to finish that project. Home Depot’s also throwing in a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit (valued at $150) because no tool collection is complete without a power drill and driver. Plus this one weighs less than three pounds and the battery lasts four times longer than your everyday battery. So guys, I’ll guess we’ll all have to come up with another excuse to take a break from our to-do lists.

Home Depot Fathers Day Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $100 Home Depot gift card and a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what’s the “manliest” quality of the person you’re celebrating this coming weekend. Do you admire your dad’s ability to fix anything? Do you just love seeing the father of your children with a little bit of stubble? Or maybe the way your brother plays with your nieces earns him major guy-points in your book?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Home Depot.

    HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

I am recently engaged and cannot wait for my husband-to-be to experience fatherhood. I know that he is going to be the most patient, kind, loving dad and I am so excited to go on that journey with him!

My dad is the master griller. So much so that I refuse to buy a grill, knowing that when I go home to visit I’ll get a tasty grilled meal every night!

Happy Father’s Day! Ok, I’ll be honest, I’ll get more use out of this gift card than my hubbie. With that being said, I love how my husband would rather play with our boys than be a handyman (he leaves all of that up to me:)

Since he has so many manly qualities, it’s hard to narrow it down to just one…but I love how my husband is able to fix things. He goes where this woman would never go….the crawl space!

    HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

Manliest Quality: I admire my husband’s patience with our son, and how playful he is with us. I will be out of town for actual father’s day, so I wish I could leave this for him to find! Also, we are closing in our first house in less than two weeks, and this would come in so handy for our already massive to-do list!

    Thank you!

    Happy Father’s Day!

This will be my first Father’s Day (my son was born in February), so I’m pretty excited to celebrate! And my favorite thing about the person I’m celebrating (my dad) is that he’s incredibly generous with his time, and is always willing to help me with any project I’ve got going on. And lucky for me, my dad is a very handy guy with plenty of tools! haha.

    Happy Father’s Day!

My dad once built me a stable for my Breyer’s Horses because the stable they’d ordered from the Sears Catalog wasn’t going to arrive in time. He spent all night on it, even missing Christmas Eve dinner, so that I’d have it for Christmas morning. It’s a thousand times more beautiful than the Breyer stable and I cherish it.

    Happy Father’s Day!

The manliest thing about my sweet husband is the way he is scrambling and grunting around the house trying to get everything ready before our first little one arrives in a couple of months! And, lemme tell ya, it is a real scramble – we are in the “going backwards before you can move forward” (i.e., demo!) stage. Not good for my nesting brain, but watching him step up his DIY game? Now that’s a REAL man! :)
