Fab Freebie: Home Depot Gift Card & Tools

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Thanks to random.org’s trusty randomness, we’ve got our winner and it is… Gretchen B (whose husband is “a mastermind with wood. He can make almost anything, at times he has surprised himself at what he canters up.”). That sounds familiar. Congrats Gretchen!

Sorry this post is a few minutes late (380 pages of book proofing = crazytown). But Happy Almost Father’s Day everyone! To help us celebrate, Home Depot is giving away an $100 man card, er, gift card so one lucky reader gets a fast and easy way to show their handy hubby/dad/uncle/brother/grandpa/neighbor how much they care… or how much they really want them to finish that project. Home Depot’s also throwing in a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit (valued at $150) because no tool collection is complete without a power drill and driver. Plus this one weighs less than three pounds and the battery lasts four times longer than your everyday battery. So guys, I’ll guess we’ll all have to come up with another excuse to take a break from our to-do lists.

Home Depot Fathers Day Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $100 Home Depot gift card and a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what’s the “manliest” quality of the person you’re celebrating this coming weekend. Do you admire your dad’s ability to fix anything? Do you just love seeing the father of your children with a little bit of stubble? Or maybe the way your brother plays with your nieces earns him major guy-points in your book?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Home Depot.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! The manliest quality about my husband is how he is such an awesome dad to our little girl and the fact that he’ll even carry my Vera Bradley diaper bag. So very manly…

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!! I love my husband so much. He so strives to love his family and to train and guide our children. He’s way more patient than I am with them. I love how he’s so sweet to me and how he makes the dumbest puns/jokes almost constantly. I just love him. So much.

“HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!” My husband is such a great Dad and has always been very involved with everything our boys do, whether its coaching their ball teams, playing xbox, or just hanging out. He is a Police Captain, Swat Team Commander and Honor Guard Captain so he is also setting an amazing example for them by his service and I think that makes him pretty manly. Gotta love a man in uniform!

    HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

The manliest thing about my husband is the way he always puts his family first. He gave up everything to take care of me (his beautiful wife…haha) after the birth our children. The second child (December 2011) left me unable to do much anything for myself for about a week due to a suprisingly large baby- over 11 lbs(from dressing to even getting out of bed) and limited activities for weeks after. He stayed by my side, helping with our beautiful baby, taking care of our older child, and keeping up the chores around the house that I normally handle. The most amazing part was that he never complained. He even took extra time off of work till I was feeling better. He is so selfless and wonderfull. He is a great father to our children, incredibly handy with projects around the house, and great at fixing a broken car. I love him with every ounce of my being and thank GOD that he allowed us to meet 8 years ago!
