Fab Freebie: Home Depot Gift Card & Tools

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Thanks to random.org’s trusty randomness, we’ve got our winner and it is… Gretchen B (whose husband is “a mastermind with wood. He can make almost anything, at times he has surprised himself at what he canters up.”). That sounds familiar. Congrats Gretchen!

Sorry this post is a few minutes late (380 pages of book proofing = crazytown). But Happy Almost Father’s Day everyone! To help us celebrate, Home Depot is giving away an $100 man card, er, gift card so one lucky reader gets a fast and easy way to show their handy hubby/dad/uncle/brother/grandpa/neighbor how much they care… or how much they really want them to finish that project. Home Depot’s also throwing in a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit (valued at $150) because no tool collection is complete without a power drill and driver. Plus this one weighs less than three pounds and the battery lasts four times longer than your everyday battery. So guys, I’ll guess we’ll all have to come up with another excuse to take a break from our to-do lists.

Home Depot Fathers Day Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $100 Home Depot gift card and a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what’s the “manliest” quality of the person you’re celebrating this coming weekend. Do you admire your dad’s ability to fix anything? Do you just love seeing the father of your children with a little bit of stubble? Or maybe the way your brother plays with your nieces earns him major guy-points in your book?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Home Depot.

My husband is a true Renaissance Man! He bakes, gardens, reads, refinishes, trims, hammers and tinkers. He doesn’t drill often for lack of drill, so a drill would be an amazing Father’s Day gift!

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! … the manliest thing my husband does for me right now is complete and total support in the trials of trying to become parents. He may not be a father yet by blood but he is going to be a ridiculously great one if the way that he treats the kids in my family and the students he teaches daily is any indication.

My Dad’s a pretty manly guy – he was a Marine and served in the Vietnam war, and he can fix pretty much ANYthing around the house himself. Plus he’s a romantic at heart, always doting on my mom, which is super cute! I really look up to him :)

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! I am celebrating my husband’s FIRST Father’s Day (his fatherhood is two months old) and his manly ways are always charming for me, but, drill related, when we were putting up the shelves that grace the walls of our daughter’s room, he was SUPER concerned about them being as safe and stable as possible. It was so cute to see him step into fatherhood in this moment (it was before she was born). No matter how frustrating it was getting the shelves up with our horrible old drill, he persevered and the shelves look great now (and are stable enough that he can do a pull up on them hahaha). Needless to say, this prize could come in handy for any other jobs that come along! Thanks guys!

From ripping his own trim, to rewiring our house – the man is a genius! (PS – Don’t be scared! He’s was a nuke electrician in the Navy, everything is safe on our home front!)

My grandfather is basically my dad, I love him to death, and watching my grandmother and grandfather together, who have been married since they were 18 and 20 (respectively) and have loved each other every moment, with 6 kids and countless grand kids :) he has shown me how a father should be, in every aspect, and I am simply grateful for him being there for me in everything.
