Fab Freebie: Home Depot Gift Card & Tools

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Thanks to random.org’s trusty randomness, we’ve got our winner and it is… Gretchen B (whose husband is “a mastermind with wood. He can make almost anything, at times he has surprised himself at what he canters up.”). That sounds familiar. Congrats Gretchen!

Sorry this post is a few minutes late (380 pages of book proofing = crazytown). But Happy Almost Father’s Day everyone! To help us celebrate, Home Depot is giving away an $100 man card, er, gift card so one lucky reader gets a fast and easy way to show their handy hubby/dad/uncle/brother/grandpa/neighbor how much they care… or how much they really want them to finish that project. Home Depot’s also throwing in a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit (valued at $150) because no tool collection is complete without a power drill and driver. Plus this one weighs less than three pounds and the battery lasts four times longer than your everyday battery. So guys, I’ll guess we’ll all have to come up with another excuse to take a break from our to-do lists.

Home Depot Fathers Day Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $100 Home Depot gift card and a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what’s the “manliest” quality of the person you’re celebrating this coming weekend. Do you admire your dad’s ability to fix anything? Do you just love seeing the father of your children with a little bit of stubble? Or maybe the way your brother plays with your nieces earns him major guy-points in your book?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Home Depot.

    Happy Father’s Day!!!

The manliest thing about my dad is his strong but silent type nature. But underneath we all know he’s a big softy! :)

The first thing I think of for ‘manliness’ is being able to fix things around the house or the car, even if it’s just changing the oil

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!!! The “manliest” thing about my hubby is that he uses his contractor skills to help me craft and create what I imagine. It still blows my mind that he can build anything he wants or fix anything around our lovely house.

    Happy Father’s Day!

The most stereotypically manly thing about my father is that he instilled in me a love for DIY, the outdoors, and sports. He is also the most compassionate and encouraging person, ever.

This isn’t a ‘typical manly quality’ but I actually really love that my dad loves to read. He read to us as children so it always reminds me of him!

Happy Father’s Day! Well, I’ll be seeing a friend of mine who’s about to become a dad in a couple more months (yay!). His manliest quality? Might be those Vibram Five Fingers shoes – I see them all the time but I have yet to see them on a woman!

My dad is so manly because he is our go-to contractor. I grew up as his home remodel assistant and now he’s helping my husband and I with all of our home projects in our new home. He generously offers his expertise and labor regularly and we cannot begin to express our gratitude.

    HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!

I would have to say my husband is most deserving of this giveaway because not only did our little girl just turn 1 month old just a few days ago making this father’s day his first and perhaps most special. But he is also going to put his career on the back seat to be a full time stay at home dad while I finally start my dream career in July. He is truely the Dad of the Year in my book!

My baby’s daddy (my husband ;) is not very handy but he is great at rough-housing with our little girl which I love and I think is great for her (tempers the sparkles and pink and baby dolls that are accumulating at rapid speed in our house). That and the fact that he cries when he watches Rudy…
