Fab Freebie: Home Depot Gift Card & Tools

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Thanks to random.org’s trusty randomness, we’ve got our winner and it is… Gretchen B (whose husband is “a mastermind with wood. He can make almost anything, at times he has surprised himself at what he canters up.”). That sounds familiar. Congrats Gretchen!

Sorry this post is a few minutes late (380 pages of book proofing = crazytown). But Happy Almost Father’s Day everyone! To help us celebrate, Home Depot is giving away an $100 man card, er, gift card so one lucky reader gets a fast and easy way to show their handy hubby/dad/uncle/brother/grandpa/neighbor how much they care… or how much they really want them to finish that project. Home Depot’s also throwing in a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit (valued at $150) because no tool collection is complete without a power drill and driver. Plus this one weighs less than three pounds and the battery lasts four times longer than your everyday battery. So guys, I’ll guess we’ll all have to come up with another excuse to take a break from our to-do lists.

Home Depot Fathers Day Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $100 Home Depot gift card and a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what’s the “manliest” quality of the person you’re celebrating this coming weekend. Do you admire your dad’s ability to fix anything? Do you just love seeing the father of your children with a little bit of stubble? Or maybe the way your brother plays with your nieces earns him major guy-points in your book?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Home Depot.

    Happy Fathers day!

I love how my dad could do it all. Build things, fix things, squash bugs, play dress up with his girls, cook, clean, take care of my mom and every pet that came home.

    Happy Father’s Day!

The manliest thing about my Dad is that even after working all week he finds time to help out others with their home projects on the weekend and also remembers to bring home some flower for my Mom.

Happy Fathers Day! This will be my husbands first fathers day, since our daughter was just born June 1st. The manliest thing I’ve ever seen is the way he snuggles, cuddles, dances, and loves our little girl. It takes a real man to show that sort of love and emotion.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY……the “manliest” thing about my husband is his arms! He has these big arms that are perfect for so many things….comforting me if I’ve had a rough day, holding my kids for story time or lifting them up quickly if tears start to fall, throwing a football around with friends, and doing various DIY projects, including sewing! :-)

HAPPY FATHERS DAY! The manliest thing about my dad is that he can do absolutely ANYTHING himself. Last year he gave me a crash course in electrical as we were rewiring my mom’s kitchen remodel. I love that he not only knows how to do things, but tries to teach us as well!

Happy Father’s Day! We have a little one on the way so this will be my Hubby’s first Father’s Day! But he’s your typical manly man, he loves sports, drinks beer, can give you directions to anywhere, while I’m directionally challenged. I just love him to pieces!

One of the many qualities that I admire in my husband as a father is his willingness to get down and play with our daughter on her level and get physical. They wrestle, he’s her pony, they jump around and all kinds of stuff that wears me out. (It also wears her out so I really appreciate it)>

Not sure it’s the Manliest thing about my dad that I love the most,..but do appreciate him trying to prepare me for life on my own, he bought me the Ryobi TEK4 4-Volt Screwdriver from Home depot to stick in my toolbox when I moved out. It’s SO lightweight and the battery stays charged forever! Maybe I could re-pay him by giving him the 18 volt version!

    We both Heart Ryobi!
