Fab Freebie: Home Depot Gift Card & Tools

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Thanks to random.org’s trusty randomness, we’ve got our winner and it is… Gretchen B (whose husband is “a mastermind with wood. He can make almost anything, at times he has surprised himself at what he canters up.”). That sounds familiar. Congrats Gretchen!

Sorry this post is a few minutes late (380 pages of book proofing = crazytown). But Happy Almost Father’s Day everyone! To help us celebrate, Home Depot is giving away an $100 man card, er, gift card so one lucky reader gets a fast and easy way to show their handy hubby/dad/uncle/brother/grandpa/neighbor how much they care… or how much they really want them to finish that project. Home Depot’s also throwing in a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit (valued at $150) because no tool collection is complete without a power drill and driver. Plus this one weighs less than three pounds and the battery lasts four times longer than your everyday battery. So guys, I’ll guess we’ll all have to come up with another excuse to take a break from our to-do lists.

Home Depot Fathers Day Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $100 Home Depot gift card and a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what’s the “manliest” quality of the person you’re celebrating this coming weekend. Do you admire your dad’s ability to fix anything? Do you just love seeing the father of your children with a little bit of stubble? Or maybe the way your brother plays with your nieces earns him major guy-points in your book?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Home Depot.

    “HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!”

The manliest thing is his willingness to always help with projects around my new house.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! The manliest thing about my Daddy is the unconditional love he has for me, his only daughter. He gives advice when needed, a sholder to cry when sad, and most importantly his smile and energy during the most exciting and happy times.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! Will be hanging out with my husband this weekend. I actually think it’s pretty cool he’s been getting into gardening. It’s usually my fun activity, but he seems to be enjoying it as well. It’s probably not the manliest thing ever, but it makes me smile.

Happy fathers day! The manliest thing about my beloved is what a great dad he is. Sure he can fix a car or follow a map but the manliest thing to me is listening to him read ‘sheep in a jeep’ to our son before bed.

My father is truly my hero, because he can build anything, fix anything, and figure out anything. Seriously, I have never seen him stumped, at least not for long. Thanks! Valerie

    HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

My dad was a farmer (corn/soybeans) and had to take care of the livestock (milk cows, hogs and beef cattle) all during the day, then watched all 6 of us kids while my mom went to work as a waitress to make ends meet. Don’t know when he slept, but he was a great father to grow up with.

As an adult, my dad’s been essential in helping me make my house into a home with all the projects we’ve been working on. This would make an awesome gift!

    HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

I’m celebrating my husband, who will be a first-time dad to our baby due in September :) The manliest thing about him is his Mr. Fix It attitude. He loves doing projects around the house, which is why this gift would be perfect for him!

    Happy Father’s Day!

The manliest thing about my dad is his patience with the my family. An example – the poor guy repainted the cathedral ceiling and walls in my parents living room THREE TIMES before my mom liked the color. He calls the ceiling his Sistine Chapel.

Thanks for the opportunity to win! My husband is my hero… around our house we joke that he is a superhero (and sometimes I wonder if he truly is)… :) His manliest feature – or the one that I respect the most – is the fact that he is a Godly man… don’t get me wrong, he isn’t perfect (who is?) … but as a leader in our church recently put it, “It’s not perfection that we’re looking for, but process”… my hubby walks with the Lord and seeks His guidance when making decisions for our family or when hammering out the chinks in his own armor. Oh, and it doesn’t hurt that he’s gorgeous, too! :)

    HAPPY FATHERS DAY!

The manliest thing about my husband/father of my children is his ability to fix ANYTHING. He does all the maintenance on our cars, replaced our roof, tiled a bathroom shower, roughed in our basement, built a landscape wall, repaired the rotted floor in our boat, etc. Whatever project we want to tackle, he’s ready, willing and able to do it! We hardly ever have to hire out. I love it! And him!

Best thing about my husband is his desire to serve our country in the US Navy. He then comes home from long days to be a wonderful daddy to our 21 month old son. Thanks for the giveasway, my husband would be crazy excited to win this!

    HAPPY FATHER”S DAY!!

My husband’s manliest quality is his work ethic. We live in the desert (up to 117 degrees in the summer!) and no matter what, he’ll work straight on through , whether it’s fixing our cooler, or running sound for a concert, he does it with little complaint, and without stopping. I love him so much!

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! My brother is the coolest Dad in the Southeast! He works long and hard all day and is rehabbing DIYing his new house on nights and weekend! He’s a great Dad to my nephew Chris and plans on building out a cool “son” suite in the finished basement too. He’d love this tool and the gift card for his many many DIY projects yet to go.
