Fab Freebie: Home Depot Gift Card & Tools

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Thanks to random.org’s trusty randomness, we’ve got our winner and it is… Gretchen B (whose husband is “a mastermind with wood. He can make almost anything, at times he has surprised himself at what he canters up.”). That sounds familiar. Congrats Gretchen!

Sorry this post is a few minutes late (380 pages of book proofing = crazytown). But Happy Almost Father’s Day everyone! To help us celebrate, Home Depot is giving away an $100 man card, er, gift card so one lucky reader gets a fast and easy way to show their handy hubby/dad/uncle/brother/grandpa/neighbor how much they care… or how much they really want them to finish that project. Home Depot’s also throwing in a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit (valued at $150) because no tool collection is complete without a power drill and driver. Plus this one weighs less than three pounds and the battery lasts four times longer than your everyday battery. So guys, I’ll guess we’ll all have to come up with another excuse to take a break from our to-do lists.

Home Depot Fathers Day Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $100 Home Depot gift card and a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium Ion Compact Drill Kit
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what’s the “manliest” quality of the person you’re celebrating this coming weekend. Do you admire your dad’s ability to fix anything? Do you just love seeing the father of your children with a little bit of stubble? Or maybe the way your brother plays with your nieces earns him major guy-points in your book?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Home Depot.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY 1 I love the way my husband Tom puts spending time with our kids ( now 22 and 25) more important than things of this world!

    Happy Father’s Day!

I’d love to get that gift card and put it toward a new chain saw — my husband is about to put in some manly action on cutting branches off of two huge trees that fell in our garden this morning, significantly damaging about 15 years of extensive landscaping (trying not to cry –).

    HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

The manliest thing my dad has done was approve/deny my sister’s husband’s request for her hand in marriage based on a tool identification quiz my dad set up. (He passed!)

    Happy Fathers Day!

My husband amazed me with his DIY skills when we were redoing our basement. He knew exactly what we were doing it taking it from unfinished to its current sheetrock state…if we win maybe we can get it closer to completion ;)

    HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

My step dad is a seriously awesome fix-it, DIY guy. He and a friend built a huge back deck and gazebo in my parents back yard a few years ago and I’m still impressed at what an amazing job they did.

    HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

My dad’s manliest quality would have to be his career – carpentry. He’s worked manual labor outdoors all his life, and he is still as fit and healthy as ever at 60! Thank God for that. The thing I will always remember is his hands; they always have bruises, cuts, and scrapes – the markings of a hard worker! He taught me that providing for his family through an honest day’s work is the manliest thing he could do.

Happy Father’s Day! The manliest thing about my husband is that although he knows how to fix absolutely anything, can’t grill without a beer in hand and loves watching sports, he can play barbies or LEGOS with the kids like a champ and never ever complains when I pick out a chick flick for movie night. He’s pretty perfect :)

    HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!
My Granddad has been the manliest of manly for as long as I can remember. But the manliest thing I’ve seen him do was right after my grandmother had surgery, he took off from work and has been tending her 24/7. He called me ever so proud of himself when he went grocery shopping for the first time on his own! He is a superhero to our family.
