Fab Freebie: Made In Portland

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

As our time in Portland comes to an end, we’re excited to share that the random winner of this very Oregonian prize is… Joyce (who would go all the way back to the late 1700s to check out the Constitutional Convention). Congrats Joyce!

Since we’re headed to Oregon this week, we thought we’d send a little bit of Oregon your way in return. So how does $500 in product from Portland-based Rejuvenation sound? They started off as an architectural salvage shop, but now they serve up authentic lighting, hardware, and other home staples from a whole slew of time periods and styles. We’re hoping to make an in-person stop at their store while in PDX, but for everyone else there’s plenty to browse online and by catalog. And with a handful of benjamins at your disposal, this is your shot to get a real statement piece for your space.

Rejuvenation Giveaway

  • PRIZE: $500 to spend at Rejuvenation
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “REJUVENATE ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … if you could travel back in time and live in any previous era, what would you choose? Wanna live (or relive) the 60’s or 70’s love-fest? Prefer to try on the glam flapper days of the 20’s? Or do you want to go really old school and see how the colonists lived?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 22nd at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States or Canada (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Rejuvenation.

REJUVENATE ME! I’d go back to the flapper days – I loved the way women dressed – everyone partied and knew how to appreciate the good times.

    REJUVENATE ME!
My first choice would be authentic hippie, give me the 60’s with flowing dresses, lots of fringe & poker straight hair down to my waist.
If that didn’t work out my other Gemini twin would want Hollywood Regency glam, velvet couches and chandeliers dripping with crystals.
Sometimes it’s tough to live with myself ;)

I just finished reading “Rules of Civility” and can’t stop thinking about what it would have been like in pre-war (1938) New York…if I were rich…and single…and beautiful…and witty… ;)

To be honest I’ve been thinking about this since watching “Midnight in Paris” last night. Even though I had never considered it before, being an ex-pat in Paris in the 20s certainly had some appeal.

Rejuvenate me! I would love to go back to the 1800s. I love 19th century history. I love “Gone With The Wind” and the huge Southern mansions with columns. I would not want to stay though–just visit. It was also a very volatile time.

Rejuvenate Me! Since I’ve been watching and obsessing over PBS’s Downton Abbey lately, I think I’d like to go back to 1920’s rural England. Very specific, I know!

I’m a cross between Art Deco and mid-century modern type of gal. So any time from WW2 through the 1950s and 60s. There are so many great time periods, but can always find something at a vintage store from the 50s, no doubt!

    Rejuvenate me!

Our house (a brick Victorian) was built in 1870, so I’d love to go back in time at pretty much any point in the past 140+ years to see who lived here over the years — and how they decorated it! I use a mix of antiques/vintage and modern pieces because I like to think our style sort of reflects all of that history.
