Fab Freebie: Made In Portland

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

As our time in Portland comes to an end, we’re excited to share that the random winner of this very Oregonian prize is… Joyce (who would go all the way back to the late 1700s to check out the Constitutional Convention). Congrats Joyce!

Since we’re headed to Oregon this week, we thought we’d send a little bit of Oregon your way in return. So how does $500 in product from Portland-based Rejuvenation sound? They started off as an architectural salvage shop, but now they serve up authentic lighting, hardware, and other home staples from a whole slew of time periods and styles. We’re hoping to make an in-person stop at their store while in PDX, but for everyone else there’s plenty to browse online and by catalog. And with a handful of benjamins at your disposal, this is your shot to get a real statement piece for your space.

Rejuvenation Giveaway

  • PRIZE: $500 to spend at Rejuvenation
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “REJUVENATE ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … if you could travel back in time and live in any previous era, what would you choose? Wanna live (or relive) the 60’s or 70’s love-fest? Prefer to try on the glam flapper days of the 20’s? Or do you want to go really old school and see how the colonists lived?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 22nd at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States or Canada (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Rejuvenation.

Time travel to any time would be amazing but I loved Frontier House on PBS and despite the hard work of homesteading, I’d like to visit.

I’d go to the 70’s because I’m kind of a hippie and I’d love to see the bands I love perform a show.

I would travel back to the 20’s… I just think it’s fun! =) We also own a 1920 bungalow and I think it’d be cool to see exactly how it looked when it was built.

REJUVENATE ME! ? I would absolutely love to go back to Medieval times. Although I would miss the creature comforts of today, I have always dreamed of living in that time period when they seemed to appreciate nature and the smaller things in life were the biggest rewards!
    Thank you!

    REJUVENATE ME!

This is such a difficult question! Downton Abbey has made me sort of nostalgic for the corseted and lace fashions of the teens, but I would have to go with the ’20s, because I think it would be such a fascinating time to be a woman amidst the blossoming of modern-day feminism – To be there when women finally get the right to vote and to be able to watch as ladies liberate themselves from long skirts, masses of hair, and tight bodices – even shaving their legs! Really fascinating stuff.

I immediately want to say the 60’s – the clothes, the music, the VW bugs…

But really, I think the 30’s would be amazing. Its the epitomy of making the most out of the least, supporting each other, creativity out of necessity. Just remembering my Grandma and how amazing and resourceful she was…

It’s hard for me to pick just one era. I loved the Little House on the Prairie and Anne of Green Gables era but I also like Jane Austen’s world but THEN there’s the 20-30s and the 70s and even the 80s! Oh jeez, I’m putting too much thought into this, lol =)

I’d totally go to the late 40’s/early 50’s for some clean lines, solid natural surfaces, a whole lot of stainless steel and some bright primary colors to accent! I think I was definitely born in the wrong decade (an 80’s baby) Mid Century Modern is where its at!

It’s so hard for me to say, I’m often told that I’m an old soul so maybe the 20’s would be a good time for me, but I love the music from the 60’s and 70’s.
