Fab Freebie: Made In Portland

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

As our time in Portland comes to an end, we’re excited to share that the random winner of this very Oregonian prize is… Joyce (who would go all the way back to the late 1700s to check out the Constitutional Convention). Congrats Joyce!

Since we’re headed to Oregon this week, we thought we’d send a little bit of Oregon your way in return. So how does $500 in product from Portland-based Rejuvenation sound? They started off as an architectural salvage shop, but now they serve up authentic lighting, hardware, and other home staples from a whole slew of time periods and styles. We’re hoping to make an in-person stop at their store while in PDX, but for everyone else there’s plenty to browse online and by catalog. And with a handful of benjamins at your disposal, this is your shot to get a real statement piece for your space.

Rejuvenation Giveaway

  • PRIZE: $500 to spend at Rejuvenation
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “REJUVENATE ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … if you could travel back in time and live in any previous era, what would you choose? Wanna live (or relive) the 60’s or 70’s love-fest? Prefer to try on the glam flapper days of the 20’s? Or do you want to go really old school and see how the colonists lived?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 22nd at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States or Canada (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Rejuvenation.

    Rejuvenate Me!

I would have to pick the 1950s because I love the furniture, the television, and the beautiful dresses/hats. I probably wouldn’t deal well with the chauvinism toward women, but it’s not like we still don’t have plenty of that these days anyway.

    Rejuvenate me!

Not sure if I’d want to live it, but I think it would be pretty awesome to visit the early 1800s Bill & Ted’s style. Something about that era is so intriguing to me!

    REJUVENATE ME!

It would be so hard to choose. I have been a Downton Abbey freak of late so the early 20th century would be interesting – if I could live in a manor house. The question reminds me of Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris. If you haven’t seen it, do. It is a wonderful movie.

I’d totally go back to the 1800s so I could wear those fantastically beautiful dresses everyday. I’d obviously need to be a: wealthy, b: unconcerned for my ribcage/lungs, and c: toting my own personal supply of Penicillin.

REJUVENATE ME! I’m kinda torn… I love modern conveniences like plumbing and things like video games too much to leave the here and now for good, but I would be curious to see some other time periods — 1950s USA, 1800s England, etc. I think a series of short vacations are in order :D

REJUVENATE ME! Oh the things I could do with those 500 buckeroos! :)

I was born in the 80s and lived through half of them, but I’d really liked to have been a bit older so that I could have felt the full effect of the neon and bad hair-ness!

I would visit the late 40’s, I’ve always loved my Nana’s stories of life in England during the war and her trip to America on a boat full of war-brides. It seems like while people had it rough, they still had a lot of hope.

Oh, PLEASE Rejuvenate me! I was just in their store this morning trying to coordinate six light fixtures I need for our house remodel and wondering just how much I will be spending. And I *must* have their newest fixture for my front porch when we get to that point in the process! I hope you’re planning a stop at their PDX store during your trip. I could spend hours there (and have done in the past).

I think I’d like to visit 1919, the year our house was built, to see just what the city was like then. :)

REJUVENATE ME! If I could journey back in time to any era, I would definitely choose the late 1800’s. Our home was constructed during the years 1867-1869, with amazing attention to detail. I would love to see how it all came together without the use of power tools :)
