Fab Freebie: Made In Portland

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

As our time in Portland comes to an end, we’re excited to share that the random winner of this very Oregonian prize is… Joyce (who would go all the way back to the late 1700s to check out the Constitutional Convention). Congrats Joyce!

Since we’re headed to Oregon this week, we thought we’d send a little bit of Oregon your way in return. So how does $500 in product from Portland-based Rejuvenation sound? They started off as an architectural salvage shop, but now they serve up authentic lighting, hardware, and other home staples from a whole slew of time periods and styles. We’re hoping to make an in-person stop at their store while in PDX, but for everyone else there’s plenty to browse online and by catalog. And with a handful of benjamins at your disposal, this is your shot to get a real statement piece for your space.

Rejuvenation Giveaway

  • PRIZE: $500 to spend at Rejuvenation
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “REJUVENATE ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … if you could travel back in time and live in any previous era, what would you choose? Wanna live (or relive) the 60’s or 70’s love-fest? Prefer to try on the glam flapper days of the 20’s? Or do you want to go really old school and see how the colonists lived?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 22nd at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States or Canada (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Rejuvenation.

    REJUVENATE ME!

I would love to live in the 50’s so I could enjoy all the gorgeous cars. The colorful interiors, the cool steering wheels, the slick lines. Cars were so classy back then!

That being said, I have a love of all things art deco and would choose to surround myself with shiny fun post WWII era stuffs. :P

Soooooo excited that you are coming to P-town tomorrow!! Safe travels!!

Dude, I love this question. I’d answer it even if there wasn’t such a goo prize on the line (which is good since over 6-freakin’-thousand people have commented!!).

My answer may seem weird, because it was wartime, but I’d totally do the 1940’s. Tailored cloths, cute hats, pin curl hair, red lipstick. Gals were classy back then.

So hard to choose which era I would want to travel back in time and live in. But since my Atomic Ranch just arrived in the mail and I’m digging all the midcentury interiors, I’d have to say the mid 50’s & 60’s would be pretty awesome!

    REJUVENATE ME!!

Take me back to… the 1960s! I could do sooooo many things…

…visit D.C. to visit the Mona Lisa on tour in the U.S.
…hit my local movie theater for the opening weekends of Cleopatra, Dr. No, and so many other classics.
…watch JFK and MLK Jr. give unforgettable speeches on civil rights and watch the movement change our country.
…snag an incredible sprawling ranch house with windows galore, some nifty metal kitchen cabinets… and insanely gorgeous escutcheons.
…be at my local Chevy dealership with cash in hand so I could be the original owner of my beloved 1963 Nova.
…visit Disneyland to take a ride on the Skyway and seriously drool over Monsanto’s House of the Future.
…shop for every last bit of incredible 60s fashion I could get my hands on.

Clearly, I was born in the wrong era. Oh well… a girl can dream, can’t she?

    REJUVENATE ME!

I’d like to go back to the ’20s to see my little house in its early, orginal days.

I hope you brought your umbrellas to Portland — we are having typical gray, wet days this week . . . but enjoy exploring our city! If you hit up Powell’s on Burnside, check out Cacao nearby for the drinking chocolate — AMAZING!! :)

And Schoolhouse Electric in NW is great — lots of fab, quality, local items for the home!

    Have fun! :)
