Fab Freebie: Made In Portland

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

As our time in Portland comes to an end, we’re excited to share that the random winner of this very Oregonian prize is… Joyce (who would go all the way back to the late 1700s to check out the Constitutional Convention). Congrats Joyce!

Since we’re headed to Oregon this week, we thought we’d send a little bit of Oregon your way in return. So how does $500 in product from Portland-based Rejuvenation sound? They started off as an architectural salvage shop, but now they serve up authentic lighting, hardware, and other home staples from a whole slew of time periods and styles. We’re hoping to make an in-person stop at their store while in PDX, but for everyone else there’s plenty to browse online and by catalog. And with a handful of benjamins at your disposal, this is your shot to get a real statement piece for your space.

Rejuvenation Giveaway

  • PRIZE: $500 to spend at Rejuvenation
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “REJUVENATE ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … if you could travel back in time and live in any previous era, what would you choose? Wanna live (or relive) the 60’s or 70’s love-fest? Prefer to try on the glam flapper days of the 20’s? Or do you want to go really old school and see how the colonists lived?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 22nd at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States or Canada (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Rejuvenation.

REJUVENATE ME! I would love to go back to the 30s – I know that this was leading up to the depression, but it was also a time of great design. Frank Lloyd Wright, art deco… love it!

    “REJUVENATE ME”

How to pick just one era??? I don’t think I can, but I do know what I like when I see it. It’s hard for me to say exactly what I like because I like so much. How could anyone go wrong with so much eye candy on display.

Have a great time in Portland. I have a friend that owns a food cart on NW 19th St & Quimby. Wraps by Lisa. She has vegetarian wraps and other healthy food. Check her out if you have a chance. Tell her Sharon from Maryland says hello.

Ummmm….I love a lot of the styles from the past. Fifties, sixties. But let’s be honest: the past is full of civil and human rights abuses, and I really don’t want to go and mingle with the people that created them.

But anyway, I’d love stuff from the store. Thanks!

Stylewise . . . probably the 1940’s. (I’d be grateful to not have to go through the World War, however.) I’ve also been loving early 20th century style via Downton Abbey lately! Swoon!

I just bought a new house that needs lighting fixtures replaced. And I was just at Rejuvenation’s store recently. I have 2 posts scheduled for the next week: pics of my visit and pics of what we bought. But there is so much more to buy.

As for era – the 1920s – a little worried about feminism etc but I need the glam without the wars or the colonialist work!

I was thinking the 1950’s would be a great time to go back to because I’m obsessed with Eames for Herman Miller furniture design! I just bought my first house (move in in a week) and I can’t wait to decorate. Your blog is so inspiring for this cheapskate DIY Beginner!!

P.S. If you come to Canada you should definitely visit the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia. Beautiful place to be!
