Fab Freebie: Line Drawings

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries –  see who won below!***

Thanks to random.org’s, our three winners are Jane (who considers herself an accomplished doodler – especially during a meeting), Molly T (who dubbed herself the least crafty person ever) and Lizz (who’s no artist, but is killer at Pictionary). Congrats ladies!

You guys probably know Freshline Illustration from our monthly sponsor shout outs, but soon three of you will know them as the ones who hooked you up with some sweet art / pillows / stationery for your own home. And many of Freshline’s colorful and playful illustrations can be personalized with monograms, anniversary dates, or even your full family tree.

Freshline Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $50 gift card towards any purchase from Freshline Illustration
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “DRAW ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your drawing skills. Are you a trained artist or the last one picked during a game of Pictionary? Either way, what’s your favorite thing to sketch or draw? Maybe you’re especially skilled at human portraits – or you just like to doodle your name in the margins.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 2nd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Three
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winners. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just like rewarding our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Freshline Illustration.

I was an expert at in-the-margins doodling when I was supposed to be taking notes in school. :)

    Draw Me!!!

My drawing skills most closely resemble the sketches people make when they pull the “Creative Cat” card in Cranium and end up having to draw something with their eyes closed!!!

Perhaps that’s why I have always had such a love affair with Typography…it seems so much more within my reach!

DRAW ME! I doodle often and can sometimes produce quality work if I try but it’s pretty inconsistent. I did have a neat experience though involving a sketch artist. I was at a college party and there was this girl who left the room, and reentered with a drawing pad. I only noticed because I thought it was weird behavior for a party. She sat down and began to rapidly sketch. When she was finished, she walked up to me and handed a really awesome sketch she did of me! The sketch was very well done and the whole idea was very flattering. What a confidence booster!

Draw Me! I am an artist and can’t hardly remember a time when I didn’t draw. I used to get in trouble when I was a little kid for drawing all over my sheets in the dark with a flashlight! Now I am a ceramic artist so I draw all over my pots instead ;)

    DRAW ME!

I stopped drawing (except for doodling on everything) 26+ years ago when my first daughter showed signs of artistic genius, together with a refusal to do anything Mommy could do better. . .she’s grown up now and over it, so I am drawing again.
