Fab Freebie: Line Drawings

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries –  see who won below!***

Thanks to random.org’s, our three winners are Jane (who considers herself an accomplished doodler – especially during a meeting), Molly T (who dubbed herself the least crafty person ever) and Lizz (who’s no artist, but is killer at Pictionary). Congrats ladies!

You guys probably know Freshline Illustration from our monthly sponsor shout outs, but soon three of you will know them as the ones who hooked you up with some sweet art / pillows / stationery for your own home. And many of Freshline’s colorful and playful illustrations can be personalized with monograms, anniversary dates, or even your full family tree.

Freshline Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $50 gift card towards any purchase from Freshline Illustration
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “DRAW ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your drawing skills. Are you a trained artist or the last one picked during a game of Pictionary? Either way, what’s your favorite thing to sketch or draw? Maybe you’re especially skilled at human portraits – or you just like to doodle your name in the margins.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 2nd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Three
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winners. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just like rewarding our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Freshline Illustration.

    DRAW ME!

I’m a doodler for sure – love drawing flower petals around the holes in my notebook at work. Some day I’ll grow out of that – just not this day!

DRAW ME! I cannot draw. My animal portraits consist of 2 circles (head & body) with ears and a tail. It’s the “snowman method”. Quite versatile. Works for anything.

I am not a trained artist, but I’m handy. I can draw most anything I see…I’m not very original. My favorite quote is that an original artist is just good at hiding his sources. :) I am a good “copier.” I do avoid portraits…

I actually have a degree in Interior Design, so you think I would be really good at drawing (at least interiors) but I have no freehand ability whatsoever. I can dry fine with AutoCAD (or at least rulers and a grid) but without it I’m hopeless.

    Draw me!

Admittedly I suck at drawing. However, I teach high school history & am sometimes forced to draw maps or diagrams for students so they can visually see what we’re discussing. My most recent map was of how Germany was divided up after the Yalta Conference at the end of WWII. Literally, Germany was an oval/circle. The capital Berlin was another oval/circle. When I finally found an actual map to depict how the country was divided, my students all started laughing at once and telling me how much my “map” did not look like Germany. Oh well! :)
