If You Were Here… I would warn you not to trip on any of the boxes, tubs and miscellaneous item piled waist high around the entire perimeter of the main floor of our house! This is all the things moved out of the basement in the last 6 months so it could be dry walled. Be careful not to slide on the plastic carpet protector going down the stairs, goodness knows we all have! And if you are wearing black you will definitely be smudged with drywall dust before you leave. We are on round 52 (slight exaggeration :) of our basement finishing project. This project was started nearly 6 years ago and we have spent countless hours not to mention the blood, sweat and tears (mostly tears) we have shed doing most of it on our own. Every time we have hired someone to help it has ended in disaster and we are beginning to think that the universe is trying to tell us something! I still have hope that with the end in sight we will complete it, stay married and that we haven’t permanently damaged our children. Wish us luck and the next time you stop by bring a paint brush!
