Fab Freebie: Housewears

*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries.***

Ok, so maybe you didn’t get that bit of bling you wanted for Valentine’s Day earlier this month. Here’s your chance to rectify the situation with some personalized jewelry from Lisa Leonard Designs. She even sells home decor-related pieces like necklaces with a chandelier, paper lanterns, frames and a house key on them. If those aren’t designs after our own home-loving hearts than we don’t know what is.

Lisa Leonard Pic1

I’m not so good with the jewelry lingo, but word on the street (or at least from the pregnant lady standing behind me right now) is that Lisa’s hand-cut and hand-hammered sterling silver necklaces, bracelets and earrings are well-worth shouting “oooh, I love that one… and that one… and that one” in your husband’s ear. In fact, Sherry loved the earrings that Lisa sent her way so much that we recently bought a set for my little sister’s birthday. And they barely take them off (so yes, my sister and my wife are often at family events sporting matching earrings).

And if you’re having trouble picking a favorite, perhaps this will make life a bit easier: Lisa Leonard Designs is giving away TWO $100 gift certificates towards anything in her store, so our winners can snag more than one thing if they just can’t decide. Plus if you don’t win, they’re generously dishing out a discount to everyone else, so stay tuned for that along with our winner announcement on Thursday. In the meantime, here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A $100 credit towards anything in Lisa Leonard Design’s entire collection
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “WEAR ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about something in your closet that doubles (or that you wish could double) as home decor. Do you display your purse collection for all to see? Do you swag a scarf over a hook by the door for some color? Or do you have a favorite dress whose fabric would look awesome as curtains or an accent pillow?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 24th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All over the globe!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    WEAR ME!

I’ve never displayed anything in my closet out in my house, but while at a friend’s house for dinner last night, I noticed she had earrings hanging from her chandelier : )

I wish that my shoes could double as home decor because I love shoes so so much! Heels are so fun to look at but as of now they’re all tucked away in my closet.

WEAR ME! I have a metal hanger with many hooks for belts. With a different belt on each hook, it has great vertical lines with all different colors and patterns. I like to keep it out on the outside of my closet door as “a piece”.

I’ve got a sweater the most wonderful shade of blue, and if I was decorating my house from scratch, I’d base it around that color. Sadly, that won’t work now with what we’ve got – maybe one day!

I have some pretty fabric flower pins that I usually wear with cardigans but when I am not wearing them I have them in a glass bowl in my room on my dresser because they are so pretty (and they covers all the stuff I put into the little glass bowl that I probably shouldn’t).

Wear Me! I’m totally into the singed organza flower pins that are the rage on Etsy right now. So … when I’m not wearing one, I tend to pin them to a pillow or a lamp shade. They are gorgeous wearable “art” for people and/or things…

WEAR ME!!!! I have small beige shawl that my mother gave me for Christmas years ago and I love it but its not exactly fashionable, so I I have it drapped over my jewelry frame (its a collage frame that hangs on the wall and opens outwards to reveal a jewelry box). I also have a dress that not longer fits me as well as I would like but I love the fabric and so I have considered cutting it up and making some pillows out of it, or maybe even a purse, why waste the pretty fabric, right? :)

Ahhhhhh! This is an exciting give away! i was *just* drooling over this site! I wanted to get a necklace after my little boy is born with his name! Hehe, I hope I win :P.

I live in Southern California and rarely get the chance to wear scarfs. BUT I LOVE THEM! I love soft, delicate, super cute scarfs. So, I have them hanging in my bedroom. At least I get to see the beautiful patterns, if I don’t get to wear them much.

    WEAR ME!

I don’t technically use clothing or anything as decor, but I did drape two feather boas across the valence on my bedroom window back home…it was a very funky, cute touch for a teen girl’s room. HOWEVER, my junior year prom dress had a bit of an accident the night of the dance which made it now unwearable, but I’ve always thought it would have been really cute to make something out of…I’m not sure what, but I hope to figure it out one day.

This is what the dress looks like:
