Fab Freebie: Happy Fifth To You

It took you guys just a little under 6 hours to push this blogiversary giveaway to its 10,000 entry cap, so we’re here with an earlier-than-usual update on our randomly selected winner. That lucky person is… Britta (who’s currently living in baby/preschooler world so she hopes in five years she won’t “have to deal with someone else’s poop on a daily basis and to be able to sleep through the night!”). Congrats Britta!

For every blogiversary we try to do something special for that week’s giveaway. And this year we ran with the five theme and snagged five different $500 prizes for one lucky winner from a few of our favorite places: FLOR, HomeGoods, Joss & Main, Shades of Light and Z Gallerie. Which means someone’s gonna get a grant total of $2,500 to spend in celebration of our big five year blogiversary.

The five generous folks who are each giving away $500 aren’t just places we love, but also places that hold a special place in the our blog’s history (and future). In addition to being one of our first and most longstanding sponsors, Z Gallerie has dished out prizes for a blogiversary before – and was our first ever giveaway to break the 1,000 entry mark.

Richmond-based Shades of Light (also a long-time sponsor) has found their way into our home on several occasions (their local outlet makes us crazy). Plus we’ve got an exciting announcement about them that we’ll be sharing soon (secrets, secrets, are no fun).

Joss & Main is a newer favorite of ours, and they’ve invited us twice to curate sale collections on their site…. so we’ll always be grateful to them for making us feel like real designers – even if only for a brief time. Haha.

While HomeGoods seems to find their way onto our blog pretty often (like a $500 giveaway for you guys last week), one of our favorite instances was when they helped us makeover a local family’s living areas for them a while back.

And last but not least is FLOR, whose catalogs is one of our favorites to get in the mail. But more importantly, they’re gonna play an important role in our upcoming book tour. More details on that next week!

    omg…where to begin. reading your amazing, funny, crazy blog is how i begin my day. every. day. in short, i love it and i am so grateful that you share your life with me! in five years i will still be married to my awesome husband, we will hopefully have our first baby by then too! our goldendoodle, finnley, will still be crazy and happy and we will still be working on making our first home in seattle more us. the to-do remodeling list is never ending, right? thanks for all the inspiration!

    FIFTH ME!!!! In five years I’ll be living in the same house, but hopefully have a few more projects done, along with a few little ones to fill the rooms!

    FIFTH ME! In 5 years I will still be a mom to my four children and married to my wonderful husband. I also hope to be done with my AAS degree and working part time as a Physical Therapy Assistant. I really hope that in 5 years we will have done some major improvements (kitchen/windows, etc) on our home or moved.

    FIFTH ME! In 5 years I will be the proud mommy of the little bun in my oven, and possibly another little one! I’ll still be happily married and hopefully no longer in a rental! :)

    Fifth Me!! We will hopefully have four wonderful children (ages 9, 6, 4 and ?). We’ll also hopefully be finished remodeling our home and onto just enjoying the house and each other with no huge house projects looming overhead.

    in 5 years I hope to be renovating a smaller one floor home with my hubby – the kids done college and all moved out – HA! its a good dream! – one I’m working on – for now just renovating our current home so its in good condition when the time comes to sell – I’m a new follower, love your blog, you guys remind me of “us” in our early years – congrats on your blogging milestone!

    FIFTH ME! I think we will be have 3 little ones (right now we have 1 and 1 on the way)and will have moved out of our tiny 2 bedroom home and into a “spacious” 3 bedroom home.

    In five years I think I see myself and my husband starting a family or already having a little one. I also see use completing some more of the major projects on our house (bathroom and kitchen).

    FIFTH ME! In five years I see us moved into our next home (we’re quickly outgrowing out 700 sqft bungalow with 2 kids). But I don’t even want to think of my son being 10 years old or my daughter being 6!

    FIFTH ME! Well, I was married in July 2007 (like you!) and hope to expand our family beyond my hubs, 2 little dogs, & I within the next 5 years! We will also keep fixing up our first home (which, yes, is a great little 1960s ranch).

    FIFTH ME!! In five years I see myself working in an OR, loving what I do everyday. Two kids will be out of the house and the other two will be in MS and HS, so more time for me and the hubs baby!

    Hopefully we’ll be settled in our now-being-constructed house as a family of five (there’s just three of us now). I wouldn’t mind being in the same job, but would love for the hubby to work a little closer to home. And I’ll be 33 – sure to be a good year, right? :)

    In 5 years I hope to be a SAHM being active in my daughter’s elementary class activities and after-school activities. We plan on being in the same house and still tweaking the decorating.
