Fab Freebie: Guiding Site

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Thanks to random.org, our winner is… Kari (who gets lost even with the help of GPS). Congrats Kari!

It goes without saying that we’re big fans of decorating and design help through the magic of the internet. So of course we’re psyched that one of you is gonna score some customized assistance from My Design Guide. They tap into a network of real interior designers to help you out with everything from quick fix mini-consults (which come free just by completing their StyleFinder quiz) to full blown 3-D renderings with paint color picks, furniture selections, and a shopping list (see a sample here). The latter of which our winner will be cashing in on this week. Woot.

MyDesignGuide Giveaway

  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere they have the internet! Yup, this one’s global, baby.

Guide Me! If there’s an expert around I’ll always ask for help if I’m not sure, no matter what it is. Otherwise I wing it, and it’s made for some spaztastic results more than a few times.

Guide Me! I use my GPS for directions. But my favorite way to find a place is by landmarks… i.e. turn right at the Shell and Left at the Wendy’s, etc. It drives my boyfriend bonkers. :)

    GUIDE ME!!!

I find that I need guidance in a lot of areas in my life (sad to say lol). I don’t like taking risks, so I look to others to help make decisions. Most of the time I use the internet for guidance (research product reviews, sales, deals, etc) to insure that I’m making the best decision that I can with the least amount of money. I also resort to my mother and my friends when I’m making more personal decisions so that I know I’m not making a decision that I will regret in the future.

Thanks for this wonderful opportunity!! I’m in desperate need for some help with my house!

    Guide Me!

We bought our house almost two years ago and only two rooms have been modified because I am so worried I will make the wrong choices. Which I KNOW is silly- We live in a 70’s split level that needs massive love. (You should see the floor to ceiling lava rock fireplace)

I don’t use GPS, just mapquest- we’re besties!
I also find most of my cooking recipies off the net.

GUIDE ME! There are so many choices to make every second of every minute. I can tend to get a little overwhelmed so I look for guidance personally and professionally all day long. My preference is to Google the issue, get a few options, then discuss with people either in the office or with friends and family. I think I enjoy the conversation the most. Making a decision, even with the guidance, is so tough sometimes!

    GUIDE ME!

AH HA HA HA! A ha ha! Ha! A-heh.

    Where DON’T I need guidance?

Let’s see. Without a GPS I get lost in my hometown.

Without cookbooks my food is inedible.

I’ve left color swatches on my wall for two years now because I can’t figure out how to start painting.

I see life coaches, innundate my wife with requests for help, look to management to direct and guide me in my work.

Seriously, Clara is more self-directed than I am, I’m not even fooling.
