Fab Freebie: Gettin’ Jiggy With It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.

Kreg Jig Materials

After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…

Shelves Close

In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY!
I really want to build cabinets for my gargage to house my tools and stuff, and my wife’s gardening supplies. In addition, I’m interested in building bookcases for my kids rooms, shelevs, and perhaps a couple of end tables. The Kreg Jig is the answer to helping me to complete these projects quickly and come out looking like a hero to the wife and kids! Thanks! -Nick

(And now I have that Will Smith song stuck in my head!)

I would love to win the groovy set so that we can tackle a few projects in our home. I would really love to build more shelves for my sons room. TOY STORAGE! He just turned one and I need more storage space.

My husband loves working with wood and could really use the set. Last weekend he built a covered-cabana “thingy” in our back yard and is constantly building things for our container garden.

    You guys rock! Love!

I am/ was an artist (buying a new home, getting married, teaching, an coaching girls lacrosse and a kids climbing team, has put my artistic side on hold for the time being) and would make 2-3 foot tall dolls and create travel boxes for the which would open out and become a personal evironment for each doll. This would make my love of art so much easier!

I am bound to make some shelves at home also but to be honest. :)

I’m gettin’ Jiggy. I want to make a custom book shelf for my growing Louis Lamour book collection that is now stacked on a dresser. I recently bought my Kreg Jig and have used it to move some kitchen cabinets around, changing the configuration of my kitchen in preparation for new granite countertops. I used oak and found that the Kreg pocketholes were so very easy to make. I got my brother a jig for his birthday because he was rebuilding a camper that had dry rot damage. We had a blast while replacing the rotten wood with fresh wood and attaching the patchwork framing with Kreg’s pocketholes!!! I can’t wait to start my next project…I’m going to build the coffee table using the plans received in my jig for my VFW Posts silent auction fundraiser next month…

We’ve built other things together and just putting our heads together to come up with a workable solution is so rewarding. The project we did before was a rack to hold all my craft ribbon.
