Fab Freebie: Gettin’ Jiggy With It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.

Kreg Jig Materials

After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…

Shelves Close

In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

We’re in the process of a whole new kitchen, new floors on the entire lower level and new paint! Once we’re done I’m hoping my husband still has the energy to make a built in for the dining room!

I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY!! The hubby is already pretty handy, but so far his handiwork has been mostly relegated to fixing things that break, rather than true creativity. We’ve both talked about how cool it would be to make our own bedframe, since we love wood tones and craftsman style appeal. We’d definitely make some crazy looking headboard!

“I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” I have a list of plans for my husband that I got off KNOCKOFF WOOD. I want to build an open vanity for our bathroom remodel and a built in desk in our living room. I think though we’ll start with some simple shelves for the kids room.

Well, my husband would be, if we won these tools. He has list of projects he’d like to tackle (none of which have begun because right now, he gives round the clock nursing care to our three year old, who’s terminally ill) Someday though, time to work on projects and tools to make those projects possible could keep us busy in different ways, which might provide some measure of comfort.

OMG. Over the weekend I was just asking my BIL about where he got his. It would make a great Father’s Day gift AND our nearly 3 year old could get a custom-made sandbox out of the deal. :)

What was I thinking – it would make an even better Mother’s Day gift for me!
