Fab Freebie: Gettin’ Jiggy With It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.

Kreg Jig Materials

After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…

Shelves Close

In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY”

I’m planning on building a headboard that stands up on it’s own, upholster it to match my master bedroom, and stain the legs to match some already existing furniture. All of that from the wood in my father-in-law’s basement, and clearance fabric from Joanne’s. Total estimated cost- $14 dollars for everything! (My husband works at the Dulux Paints on Broad, so even the stain is cheap-o!)

This would be perfect for adding some tables in my kitchen. I am in desperate need of more counter space and the odd dimensions keep preventing me from buying something premade.

For my May 2011 wedding reception my fiance and I are making a corn hole set for our guests to play on the plantation that we are getting married on in SC. We are both really into our separate schools (UNC and College of Charleston) and we are going to be painting them the coordinating colors of our school. We think it will be so fun for our guests to play during our reception and we’ll have them for tailgates that we attend at both schools as well!

Since my father pasted away last year, I have felt a real need to get jiggy with it.My father could do anything and I have been told that I can as well but the truth is I have always been slightly intimidated by wood working projects, well since I got my Kreg jig I have been just waiting for the opportunity to build my son a wall unit as well as my self a custom workbench but it is going to take me (getting Jiggy with it) in order for these things to get done. Wish me luck.
