Fab Freebie: Gettin’ Jiggy With It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.

Kreg Jig Materials

After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…

Shelves Close

In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    I’m gettin’ JIGGY!

I want to put a border (made of molding) on my bathroom mirrors to make them look a little fancier. My BIL told me I need some sort of special tools for him to be able to cut the molding right. This set would be perfect to complete the job!!

    I’M GETTIN JIGGY

Just starting my dream total kitchen renovation. The jig will sure make face frames very simple. My original Kreg set is just about worn out and this would be a super replacement. My Kreg drawer and slider items has made that work uncomplicated.

BONUS QUESTION: I’ve never really built anything since 7th grade shop class (so, around 20 years ago). I really would like to build my own shelves for around my house. I bought a itty bitty 50s house, that has limited storage. Right now, I want to build shelves for my books and a wall-hanging spice rack for my kitchen! I need to get some tools!

I think I would make the same shelves you just made. My daughter is now a year and a half and she has a TON of books. I have them on shelves but they say a child is more likely to pick up a book if it is facing out with the cover showing. I want to encourage her reading as much as possiable.
