Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

We bought our first house a year ago from May and we have made small updates but both of our bathrooms came straight out of 1978. Rust brown/orange vinyl floors and matching fake marble rust/brown cheesy countertops. HELP! -Emily

We are already in the midst of getting new flooring in the master bath (boo toilet improperly sealed by previous owners and leaking to destroy subfloor!), so what we really need is light fixtures not from 1981! A new shower insert, vanity and sink would be awesome as well!

We’re currently saving up to give the boys’ bath a facelift before totally renovating the master bath. All DIY, so please help! :-)

Uhh … how about the entire bathroom? We live in Northside (of your town) in an old house and while the bathroom has been reglazed and we’ve done some re-grouting, which have made vast improvements (!), the entire bathroom could be completely gutted and redone. (It’s on the list!)

    FIX ME!!!

I’m in a foreclosure and everything in my bathroom needs to go! The fan no longer works, the shower has perma-mold around the seams, and there is some white-yellow foam seeping from the bottom of the toilet (possibly from the wax ring?). Since moving in I’ve tried to do some cosmetic changes, taking it from a crazy color combination of violet and avocado to a soothing pearl gray that somewhat coordinates with the kitchen laminate on the floor but there are some things that CANNOT be saved. This would be amazing!

    FIX ME!

If only you knew how badly we need to redo our bathroom! I wish I could send you a picture. The Laura Ashley ivy wallpaper, brass shell light fixture, gross cracking vanity bowl with brown stains and ooginess. But the worst is probably our faucet. It’s one of those 80’s one-knob dealies, you know, faux crystal. Well the “crystal” has turned brown and is ribbed, so gunk builds up all around it. Furthermore, there is a groove at the top where old makeup and nastiness builds. I clean it every week with Q-tips, and that is getting old. It’s such an embarassment, but my hubby and I have lived with it for 8 years because we are saving for a total bathroom makeover and don’t want to spend any money on something that may be replaced in “the future”. :P

Our entire Master bath needs an overhaul! From the lilac walls and ceiling, yes ceiling, to the cracked and uneven shower tiles to the linoleum ‘wood’ floor. Its a hot mess! And the only room in the house that we’ve done nothing to. Other than splash paint swatches all over. So I guess technically the bathroom is lilac with swatches of more neutral colors…Ha!

FIX ME! There is nothing wrong per se with our bathroom but I did get a wild hair recently that we need to reconfigure the entrance to the guest bath and make it a little smaller. It currently opens up into the kitchen and I’d like to make it so the door is more around the corner and use the gained space as a butler’s pantry.

    Fix me!

Our house was built in 1905 and the bathroom has not had much remodeling over the years. The main problem is the placement of the pedestal sink, which is under a window instead of the mirror. This leaves the mirror by itself off to the side, looking very out of place and awkward. I would love to move the sink to the wall under the mirror and update both pieces.
