Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

My husband and I just moved into our first house, and the bathroom leaves much to be desired… a shoddy TP holder, too-short towel rack, loose and old handles on the faucet… yuck!

I’m a pretty big guy, as in 6’4″, so it would be nice to be able to be able to stretch out in our shower. As of now I have no elbow space and our shower door doesn’t even cover my head.

We bought our dream house last summer and all bathrooms are circa 1978. That includes gold swirl vanity tops, marble tile, and painted bathroom cabinets in all 3 bathrooms.

    Fix Me! Please? :-)

My townhouse master bath is still sterile white. Being a busy single mom to a toddler leaves me with little time for my many DIY project on my list…and an even smaller budget. Winning this would make me sooo happy. The bathroom is my little retreat center, to get away from the 24/7 chaos that is being a parent. I would love to look at new fixtures in there, and use that Visa card to get myself a nice fluffy bathrobe and paint!!!

FIX ME…We have one full bathroom. The toilet is a water hog and temperamental. The sheet vinyl (in yellow) is peeling at a seam, and the (also yellow) ceramic tile is cracked in several visible spots. We really need to overhaul it!

Oh, man! Our showerhead in the guest bath is so awful. The pipe in the wall that connects to the showerhead is too long, so the showerhead is like 5 inches too low! I feel like a giant each time I shower in there and feel so bad for my family who uses the shower when staying over!

We get the keys to our new house tomorrow, a foreclosure that has never been updated! The master bath (which we are excited about as we only have 1 small bath right now!) is open to the bedroom, the skylight is leaking, the vanity is very beat up, there is carpet (eww), the tile is a yellow/pink color that is cracked, and the shower-I don’t even think I want to take a shower in it! We were planning on using the other bathroom until we have the money/time to fix the master bath, and with a one year old girl- that may be a long time coming!

Our old clawfoot tub drain slanted the wrong direction which meant you stood in 6 inches of water until it either went down the drain or dripped through the ceiling… so a couple of shower curtains and a $5 Lowe’s clearance shower base are now our temporary shower. Temporary as in the last 2 years… Roofs take priority!

FIX ME! Our bathrooms have all the original fixtures – 30 years old. (Except for the toilets which we replaced before we even moved in.) I don’t even know where to begin. I’d have to say the thing that bothers me the most is the faux marble beige-y/puke-y vanity countertop which extends well beyond the vanity, all the way to the shower, hanging like a shelf above the toilet seat. It’s the worst kind of awful you’ve ever seen. I can’t wait for the day when I finally get to rip it all out!

    Fix me, please!

My house was built in 1958 and I am told was in Better Homes and Gardens, although I’ve not been able to find the issue. My bathroom is a Jack and Jill which opens on one side into the kitchen. This is so convenient everyone wants to use it and I cringe in embarrassment. The tub, sink, toilet, and floor tile are blue. The vanity is topped with big tiles that have horrendous grout problems. But my biggest horror is the fixtures. They leak and have so much lime
built up. I have tried everything to get them clean. I am an empty nester who would like to sell someday so I can live near my future grandchildren. Can you fix me, please and thank you!
