Fab Freebie: Get Your Fixture Fix

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the random person getting their fixture fix this week is… Anne L (who simply described the problem in her bathroom as: “Pink carpet in bathroom?! Nasty!”) Congrats Anne!

Got a bathroom that could use a new faucet? Or new showerhead? Or new just about every fixture? Well then you’re in luck. The generous folks at Moen are dishing out an ENTIRE suite of bathroom fixtures in your choice of three of their most popular collections: the modern 90 Degree, the sexy Voss or the classic Boardwalk. You’ll get:

  • Two bathroom faucets
  • A rainshower showerhead and matching tub spout
  • One 18-inch towel bar
  • Two towel rings, including their new retractable model
  • A pivoting toilet paper holder
  • Two double robe hooks
  • A curved Shower Rod

And just in case you’re not up for DIY-ing the install of all of these sparkly fixtures, they’re gonna toss in a $250 Visa gift card to help you hire it out (or to spend on another finishing touch to your new bathroom makeover). That’s a grand total of up to $1,600 in prizes. I’d say one of you is about to clean up real nice.

Moen Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A new suite of Moen bathroom fixtures (in 90 Degree, Voss or Boardwalk) and a $250 Visa gift card
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FIX ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what in your bathroom is in the most desperate need of an update? Are you faced with old cracked tiles in your shower every morning? Does your mirror and vanity combo leave something to be desired? Or is your old leaky faucet enough to put you in a bad mood?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Aug 22th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Moen.

FIX ME! Just purchased a house and the guest bathroom was overly loved by 2 teenagers and now I have to fix up for my 2 little girls. Where to to begin…tile, tub, cabinets and a wobbly toilet. Money is tight with all of it to buy the house, so this prize would be like the goose that laid the golden egg for me!

Well… in our master bathroom pretty much the whole thing needs to be changed. It’s not much of an eye sore, they lay out is just not functioning at all for us. In the guest bath one word: shower. Just, yikes. And the powder room the vanity.. and toilet. But primarily the vanity. haha

    FIX ME!

Our master bath has tile that is woefully in need of re-grouting…or maybe, replacement. We live in a 1914 house, and I would love to do something to make the bathroom tile and fixtures true to the home’s character and time-period.

    FIX ME!!!!

My master bathroom’s tub is only being used by our kids -7 & 5. My husband and I have to use the guest bathroom shower. The shower head is very low so it’s uncomfortable to use it; we haven’t been able to replace it because we need tore the whole wall and if we replace it we would need to replace the other fixtures too.

Right now we have a 50s master bath with an off centered brass chandelier (yup a chandelier in a bathroom!), chrome toilet paper holder, a shell sink with a nickel faucet with gold knobs and some weird blue tile on the floor.

We’re planing to upgrade the master bathroom (hopefully soon) but it’s expensive and pretty free fixtures like these ones will really help lower the reno costs!

    Thanks

    Fix me!

We are having our wedding at our house next summer & using the money we are saving to do a couple of “house” projects (sound familiar)? One of those is to finish the bathroom in our basement that our wedding guests will be using. Right now the bathroom consists of cement floors, a work sink, & a shower head you’d have to bribe me to stand under. There isn’t even a light. We’ve started by putting up walls & a door. Both things that are nice to have in a bathroom, but we’re not there before. I guess the previous owners were not shy.

I am a horribly ugly pickled maple vanity with off white formica top that is paired with a sheet of mirror and “hey i’m a movie star” bulb lights. Plus, I’m also short. My poor owner is developing a hunchback from leaning over trying to wash her face and hands. It’s a cruel, cruel thing I’m doing to her. Please, FIX ME!!

    FIX ME

Bought our house a few months back and haven’t touched the basement bathroom. I feel bad for our guests! We need new everything. Faucet is cheap, same for the shower head. The towel rod is bent and is plastic. The light fixture is not really a fixture, it’s just light bulbs sticking out of the wall.

my sinks are so yukky they slide around on the counter. my shower and both sinks drip and leak. oh and the visa card would REALLY come in handy to fix the rotting floor where the leaking shower has gotten it wet. the nurse who is showering my dad (who is staying with us after a stroke) didn’t realize that it was weak and apparently stepped where we have been avoiding for a long time. Please let me be the lucky one!! Thanks

This would be for my 81 year old mother. She deserves a bathroom makeover for many reasons. She watches my son for me everyday, dropping him off and picking him up from school. She has no means to redo her bathroom and this would be amazing for her!! She deserves the joy of walking into a beautiful bathroom:)

Everything in my bathroom needs updating but the most desperate item is the tub. I think it had been previously “refinished” and now the finish is peeling. Next month I start the bathroom makeover: new tub, vanity, shower and floor tile, faucets, etc. Can’t wait to start!

    FIX ME!

Since buying our house 2 years ago we have rewired the entire house (knob and tube!), insulated the attic, gutted the basement, rerouted the heating and upgraded to a more efficient heater, sealed the house from rats :( and added a kitty litter box ramp from upstairs living room to basement :)

So right now our second bath contains a working toilet. That’s it. But once done it will be fantastic and we can’t wait! :)

Oh – and our main bathroom faucet drips (both sink and tub), a cork tile floor that is peeling up and looks like it wasn’t swept before they sealed it, the corner sink is awkward, and the backsplash is DIY gone bad with broken forest green ugly tile with grey grout and a copper edge that always gets a gross-not-pretty-patina. (I CAN’T WAIT to redo the main bath.)

After the basement? New porch with french doors from the kitchen!

The whole original master bath is a disaster so it’s hard to pick the worst between chipped plywood vanity, dusty surface-of-the-sun hot makeup light strips, huge chunk of missing plaster ceiling, remnants of old wallpaper, etc. But the winner is . . . the one piece plastic tub/shower unit. It’s barely functional so I guess that’s a plus but it’s hideous. Needless to say none of the fixtures are modern.

My entire bathroom needs a re-do. Tub/shower surround, the tub, the vanity, the vanity top, the floor, the walls. What am I leaving out? Maybe the doorknobs can stay (LOL!). Other than that, we’re talking a total overhaul, so if I could win this, it would be a dream come true. Fingers crossed for luck! Thanks for the opportunity —

FIX ME – Let’s see…..what doesn’t need some love in our too tiny bathroom? The peel and stick flooring that’s on the ugly side of peely and sticky, or maybe the bad paint we lazily gave it 2 years ago, or the complete lack of storage? I have about 10 different visions for this room, but the top one is to install tall beadboard painted a crisp white, deep navy walls and ceiling, a white hex tile floor, dark wood sink cabinet and a postcard gallery wall!
