We thought we’d finish off this year with a prize all about finishing off a major remodeling project (or even just a quick furniture upgrade) the right way. For instance, although we’re spending major time on tile and paint when it comes to our bathroom project – we haven’t forgotten about the little things like fixtures and molding. Usually, my Russian family gets together for a traditional Russian New Year’s celebration (i.e. dinner at 11pm, followed by presents, guitar, singing, watching holiday programs on TV, and finally dispersing at around 5am). Yes, they are crazy, and my American husband and I haven’t been able to handle the all-night marathon in the past few years. This year however, most of my family will me away, so my parents made reservations for just the 4 of us (the two of them and my hubs and me) to a Moroccan restaurant. There will be lots of food (duh) and even belly dancing. I’m excited :-)
