We thought we’d finish off this year with a prize all about finishing off a major remodeling project (or even just a quick furniture upgrade) the right way. Our younger daughter will be spending New Years Eve with us. After taking in a movie together, we plan to come back home and steam up a bushel or two of oysters and have them along with a big salad and baked potatoes for our New Years dinner. Yummo!

I’m having help (as a single, fifty-some woman there are things I find too heavy to do myself) but plan to do much of the work myself. On New Year’s Eve, however, I plan to pamper myself by fixing myself a fancy dinner, drinking some excellent wine, and watching a movie with my son’s dog (he’s out of town and I’m dog-sitting). FINISH ME! My first big finish to the year was to put away my suitcases. After going on several trips the past few months, I am looking forward to spending every day in Richmond for the next few.
