We thought we’d finish off this year with a prize all about finishing off a major remodeling project (or even just a quick furniture upgrade) the right way. For instance, although we’re spending major time on tile and paint when it comes to our bathroom project – we haven’t forgotten about the little things like fixtures and molding. We’re finishing up our New Year with just the two of us. Our kids spent Christmas at my parents’ house in Washington state (I flew them out there, stayed for a week, then came home to New York by myself), so my husband and I get a blissful 10 days of kid-free time. Woot! My mom will fly the kids back home on New Year’s Day.

Finish Me. We recently gave our kitchen a face lift. Our kitchen has lots of cabinets and to give take away from some of the overwhelming presence of them we removed a few and took all the knobs off the rest. We are hoping to find the right knobs to put back up. At the moment we are going knobless. Not a bad look just not super functional.
