We thought we’d finish off this year with a prize all about finishing off a major remodeling project (or even just a quick furniture upgrade) the right way. For instance, although we’re spending major time on tile and paint when it comes to our bathroom project – we haven’t forgotten about the little things like fixtures and molding. We’re closing on our very first house on December 30!
It’s a bank-owned property with no appliances, so we’re finishing off the new year by emptying our savings account into the downpayment and Home Depot to purchase washer, dryer, fridge, and stove.
The house is in really good shape, and we already have an 18-month-old son, so we’re really excited and hope to move in as soon as we rip out the cobalt blue carpeting on the first floor and refinish the oak floors that reside underneath. I love older houses!
